Hey guys, Redfox here! Hope you all enjoy the video!
Have you ever fought a tough boss in a game and wonder how they'd do in your position, if they could beat all the other bosses in the game? How would they go about your same journey with their immense but limited power as opposed to a player that starts weak but has infinite potential? How far would they get, what would they do?
Could Executioner Smough beat Dark Souls 1?

yo this Ornstein run is great, but i do find it weird you used Smough's armor and weapons though. (great video red. keep up the good work)

Ooo, that’s pretty creative! I guess I missed the opportunity here, but at least I had the hammer for cannibalism, and I’ll definitely make good use of the Dark Hand in a potential future Dark Wraith run!

Nice run as the Big Hammer Man. You can summon Ornstein for the Gwyn fight if you complete his quest

Thanks! Unfortunately I couldn’t complete Ornstein’s quest because it requires you to join the Chaos Covenant to save him from the Sunlight Maggots or have some means of attacking them through the wall, neither of which I could do unfortunately

YEEEAH I REMEMBER WHEN I ASKED THIS!!! I like ornstein armor, was my first endgame armor after I beat the game (went to new game plus) but now in another save, I use Havel

Here it is, after 3 months!Ornstein and Smough really do complement each other as exact opposite play styles, one being a dex fighter that uses spells, the other a tanky strength build, so if you want the gambit of Dark Souls builds, I recommend doing exactly what you’ve done!

I love it! You should have a 2nd player be as Ornstein and summon eachother Though that might be better for just higher ng+ since ya'll would both be pretty powerful

There is no way i have started my first run through as smough just yesterday, and now this video is in my reccs. What a time to be alive!*edit: I started it with NG+ too, this is no coincidence anymore

Yeah, that happens to me all the time! I'll do a challenge for fun or for a video and will see that someone did something similar at the same time, like how this run was the first time I ever killed Andre, and then I proceeded to watch like three brand new challenge runs where people killed Andre, absolutely wild

Cool video man. But… is framing your dark souls video as a “challenge run” the only way to get views now? Cuz this is literally just role playing in a role play game lmao.

Yeah, I touched on this in the Ornstein run and Altera run: to some respect, it is a challenge, particularly with the optional objectives, but some character runs are going to be more difficult than others due to the build or optional objectives, where others will be easier. Ultimately it’s just the naming conventions and style that RU-vid pushes the most

I just wanted to use the weapon to it’s fullest, even the likely less used stuff like the clearly inferior moveset. Also, I guess it makes this “challenge” more of an actual challenge lol! Thank you for the kind words, glad you enjoyed the vid!

Sure, okay! It might be a while until I do this one since I still have the rest of the bosses from the OG batch and then I’ll be holding a vote to see if I continue with DS1 or move on to DS2, but I WILL do this!
