Ah the classic mistake of those that never used bows.....NEVER split damage bows. The way bow calculation works means that it is always INFERIOR to use any elements with bows, even with the proper arrows. And if you don't use the proper elemental arrow, you don't do any elemental damage. That's why damage sucks so much. Bow damage be weird yo.
Yeah, its definitely different. I remember beating Kalameet with a Lightning Claymore back in the day and the damage was way better than the Lightning Avelynn so theres gotta be some shenanigans going on behind the scenes
Great video. If you ever do an archery only run in DS2, my advice is to have two main bows: a short bow for speed and the dragonrider bow for power. Some bosses you can get two shots off with a regular bow and that would outdamage the dragonrider bow. However, some bosses, you shall only get one shot so use the dragonrider bow for more damage.
I dont think Dark Souls 2 challenges are going to happen lol. I can't bring myself to get through Shrine of Amana in my most recent playthrough. I just can't get over the End Game of DS2.
@@BacklogBuster Shrine of Amada is cake walk with archery build. The main thing to remember about DS2 is to not try and rush bosses. Take your time. I beaten the place with multiple playstyles and even had one where I could only use estus to heal while being a melee build. It wasn't as hard as expected if you take your time.
Ah, that poor Composite Bow. It's by *far* the best damage scaling bow in the game, easily surpassing the 300 AR mark. Big rip. Also Nito's skeletons could hear you. To not alert them you need both the Fog Ring and the Slumbering Dragon Crest Ring, or Hush.
