Defending the game's plot is not a side you want to be on. There are many holes outside of the issues you say. like... If he wanted to kill us, there was defniitely some lapse in judgement about how best he could do it. Really convenient that he didn't take those precautions when his kingdom and him relied on DOOMguy dying. how did a hologram give a physical hammer? The game sure as heck doesn't explain. Nor do I expect it to have an answer. This was an excuse to give us a new tool to use during combat an nothing more. The guy is literally DOOMguy's clone. They look exactly the same. what?

@@Raitro_ First and foremost: Defending and explaining are not the same thing. Yes, Doom's plot is batshit insane and definitely not going to win any awards, but I can still enjoy the ride. Now to the explanation; He goes directly to Immora to prepare for the upcoming fight. He wants Doomguy to face him there. The sentinel's are shown in multiple instances to possess lightly magic like qualities. Complaining that the game doesn't take the time to explain the intricacies and science behind it is like getting mad that the First Star Wars didn't take the time to explain the science behind how a lightsaber worked. The only part that matters is that it is consistent with the universe that the game creates. "New tool to use during combat and nothing more" so? I don't recall saying it had a ton of lore significance, I just said 'It's Valen's hammer that he gifts to you to aid in your mission' We don't have a definitive reason why they look alike, we only have few guesses: Codex says Davoth is a primeval, and that a primeval can be defeated by another primeval, however, I don't subscribe to this as I believe Doomguy was only able to kill davoth because Doomguy had primeval powers infused into him. Another guess we have is that "He is you in their world" is purely metaphorical, that the father only means He is Hell's strongest warrior and the devs chose to make him look like Doomguy to hammer that point home. But he is decidedly not a clone of Doomguy, if anything, Doomguy is a clone of him. Is it stupid? Yeah kind of, I even said in my original comment that I believe making Davoth the actual creator was a misstep and I wished that id hadn't made it that way.

Unfortunately won't be. Terraria ain't my wheelhouse, but I will GUSH about the ost all day long

I was gonna spend a week trying to do it just to beat it on the first day first try best advice I can say save the immortal rune for when your at the Samur makyr fight or more precisely the final phase two bfg the spirit pain elemental and either arbalist it or lock and then spam lock on the dreadnought nought and if have the immortal rune you can stand there and win

Besides just being pages upon pages of new lore that's never ever been mentioned which makes it confusing and breaks the game flow they couldve done so much more with just adjusting the lore a bit. The betrayer shouldnt have been some random guy (valen) who barely has any presence in the game. It should be doomguy. It would give a reason as to why he hates demons so much; his love for his son caused him to trust the demons just one time in an attempt to get him back and it cost him everything. Instead the betrayer is a random guy from doomguy's past that barely matters and doomguys motivation boils down to "angry dummy that can barely even speak coherently" as shown in the flashbacks. It would also mean so much more that despite causing the downfall of the sentinels they still back him up at the final showdown. Instead its kinda just...hollow. They try to explain everything and give reasons behind mysteries like "who is the big bad" and "why is doomguy so strong" but the actual execution is just so...lackluster

zips are very possible to just do on accident. many speedrunners have had quite a few accidental zips of their own. from the accidents you take a look at the how and why and from there you can be more creative with your setups

What Quartholomew said. Alot of tricks are just discovered by accident first and then we look into each case

I watch a lot of those speed running history videos and like the other two said, usually by accident but you also have glitch hunters looking for anything they might be able to use. But when it's done by accident, speed runners will see a clip of it and try to recreate it. Also, if there's a skip that's gone undiscovered, take getting past the fog without taking damage, they'll put a bounty out for whoever finds the skip. I think....but I'm not positive... I think they put out a bounty for that wall skip in Windwaker that ended up cutting the speedrun down by like 30 minutes or so.

Eternal has better combat (of more arcadey but thats not necessarily bad sometimes) and 2016 i think has more refinement (and i like the gauss cannon more) but i really wish theyd done the dlc better...as well as the base game's lore. Nobody has done this game from the beginning (or segmented like me) so I am legally the most crazy 🤪

Blehg. I am VERY meh on Apex. It's better than CSGO or Valorant, but I can't get a feel for the combat / weapon mechanics. Don't know why, just feels off to me. Overwatch tho; I'm addicted lmao

@@Raitro_ Nice, the other game I would have suggested was overwatch, especially heroes like genji, old doomfist, Lucio But I'm telling you man, check out some Movement Videos, game has a Lot of movement tech, timing wise, Lurches etc

Oh believe me, I know. I tried speedrunning Titanfall 2 and the amount of complexity the strafe movement has baffles my mind lmao

@@Raitro_ As far as I know, Movement in Apex is bit more Difficult than Tiranfall, I could be wrong but, things like air strafe , wall riding, you get them by default but in apex you need to do more to get the same results And there Might some stuff you can't do in Tiranfall, like Mantle jump or elite jump or something If you have time I'd recommend RU-vid channels like Treeree and just movement compilation videos
