If you wanna try this run, I recommend you to get "Pest Threads" incantation from Gowry (the man in the cabin next to Sellia Town in Caelid). You need to advance a bit in Millicent quest to get it but it's definetely worth the hassle. I think it's the best incantation to deal with big bosses like dragons and the fire giant's first phase.
And elden beast. Also black flame melts main bosses. I have a pure incantation character and it's my favorite play style. Flashy moves with heavy impact.
Here,some tips that could've been useful during the run: -Get some drip.Seiously,the prophet has almost no defense with the base set -You can Dual Wield seals for better damage.For example,if you have the Erdtree seal (best seal in the gale for high faith builds),and you have the Godskin seal (15% more dalage to Godskin incantations),and you cast the incantation with the Erdtree seal,you still get the bonus. -Catch Flame is very underrated.Fast fire attack that you can chain with itself is not something tl be underestimating. -Get Vitality early.At least 25 until Maliketh -Also,Pest Threads SHREDS big bosses like EB or Placidusax. -Flock's Canvas talisman gived you 8% more incantations damage,and does stack with the other one.
For Malenia and enemies with dodging ai, I find lightning spear without charging shares the property of night comet sorcery. The enemy won’t react to that incantation without charging (not even slightest but the casting animation reduced to shortest for the loss of dmg).
this is actually the exact same playthrough i'm doing, except i carry the coded sword to save mana on clearing mobs. tip: you can dual wield seal you you can carry an upgrade seal that boosts certain incantations in the left and have your best scaling seal in your right. this also means you can cast incantations on horseback, perfect for field bosses

Fun run lol i giggled when you scratched renalla instead of X 🤣..im a faith build fan myself but i dont think i can handle a solid incantation run only.🤣 im on NG++ now and im doing dual giant crusher run pure STR and sprinkles of faith loving it so far. 🥰
wtf this was pretty much what my first run was. I started as a confessor but had to much fun with spells and ended with a tank cleric, focusing on Vigor, Faith, Endurance, Focus, and Intelligence.
You really should've used Flame of the Fell God and Burn, O Flame! from the Fire Giant's Remembrance since Malenia has 0 resistance to fire and she also can't dodge these 2 incantations and usually just runs into them. This would've made your life a lot easier but I'm not surprised that you like doing things the hard way. (You can see this strategy in Baron's Castle "Can You Beat Elden Ring as the Burger King?" video). P.S. The Pest Threads incantation would've been great against the Elden Beast and Placidusax since they are so big and since the Pest Threads also deal physical damage.
I thought about it but thought they would be too slow or I would just get wombo combod while casting them, also when the other flame incants were doing like 300 and noble presence was doing near 1000 I didn't think fire could compete.
pure incantations was my favorite playthrough. only faith, vigor and mind; no other stats until the goldmask quest (respec 37 int for regression later and other golden order incants), no sorcery and no melee weapons. there are so many cool and diverse incantations. pure sorcery was a close second.
As a liberal practitioner of incantations and Rotten Breath myself, I don't recall ever seeing Rykards sky of skulls attack. But I wasn't crazy enough to never swing a stick at an enemy either.
I halfway expected you to use the poison mist exploit for Draconic Tree Sentinel since it was fully allowed in the run as far the rules are concerned; good video :3

Nice challenge run.Would love to see more.Also if you really wanted to be broken early game with a faith build,you can wrong warp to Farum Azula,somehow do Godskin duo and get Ancient Dragon Thunder Storm,which id completely broken (in a good way) Also for Status Resistance,it adds 100 to the base resistance each time you apply a status.For example,Mohg has around 230 res to bleed.Bleed him once and he goes to 330,and so on

Liked that one, so I checked out your other vids and your vids on Elden Ring are actually what inspired me to pick up the game and start playing it. I did chuckle at the Margit fight. I found catch flame to trivialize that fight personally. Spammable and decently strong for it's FP cost. For Godrick I poisoned him with the poison mist to assist with damage.
I had so much problems with an incantation run only, i was like "ok i did this before and this Is my third run on ER, i souldnt have too many problems" but i guess ER said "no you are gonna suffer" 😂

That faster cast icon actually only works on spells that have consecutive followup cast animations. Which is basically no incantations. It was basically a dead slot for you. Stupid game design is stupid.
no, it just gives you 30 virtual dex. Dex scales your cast speed for every spell. however spell animaitons are split into different parts and only the second part can be scaled
You should have used more of the black blade incantation it takes away 10% of the bosses health and also does black flame damage and a ton of normal damage
Without watching im gonna say yes as long as you have a lot of mp. Incantations are extremely varied and many if them are even effective against magic resistants like Rennala.
I like to thing it isn’t a question of is it possible but can YOU do it because if the best player in the world did it they would 100% be able to complete all these runs but we are just skilled so we see if it’s possible
