It's been a while since I last played Chain of Memories and this challenge was a lot easier than I expected. I didn't play around much with magic in COM before. Turns out magic is a lot more powerful than I thought. I'm honestly kinda glad I didn't have to do Riku's side, I don't know if I could deal with Riku's wonderland again lol.

While watching this I realized that recom could be great for AI vs AI battles, since it wouldn't become just a bunch of invincibility attacks playing out like two dolls being mashed together. I wonder who is the ultimate duel master (Castle Oblivion Division).

These are pretty hilarious and interesting. Definitely wish that it voiced though, even if just text-to-speech, as keeping up with text is tough for slow readers like me who have to frequently pause.

I see you're having trouble with enemy sleights. I don't know if I'm the first to say this, but that's likely because you're trying to dodge them. They were designed to be difficult to dodge, to encourage breaking them with zero cards or a higher value sleight.

I love your videos! I'd love to see you do a single magic run in GBA CoM or do a damage run! CoM deserves all the love in the world! By the way, what do you think about maybe doing an only Magic in Days or in Re:Coded?

I've never played GBA CoM, but I'm open to doing a challenge with it at some point. I'm definitely going to do the rest of the series with Magic Only as well. Honestly I'm not sure if Days is even possible, because of how magic works in that one, but I'll give it a shot.

I don’t think it’s possible in Days. Leechgrave is immune to magic, so unless that mission is skippable the run would die there

ReChain is easier by far. Spamming sleights makes lategame bosses a piece of cake, and there's nothing near as difficult as that one room before the Ansem fight in KH1.

Hmmm can you summons as they are different from magic and can can you count sleights as they use attack cards 🤔

I think blue summon cards should be fine, since they're classified in the game as magic cards. If you don't allow green summon cards, the challenge is automatically over, since you can't equip blizzard before the first fight. There's not many magic sleights that use attack cards, I thought it wouldn't make much of a difference banning them, so I allowed them.

You probably should have gotten the blue rhapsody and red nocturne enemy cards, they boost the power of ice and fire attacks respectively (maybe you didn't to not make it too easy, they are quite powerful)

I ended up getting a Red Nocturne card from a random drop, but I didn't notice much of a difference, so I decided not to use it.

That's inevitable. You are forced into that state a couple times in the run, and just breaking cards can force the transformation.

I guess that's fair. I mainly allowed greens because without them the challenge fails at the first battle, since you don't get a chance to equip blizzard before it.
