The knocked-Out Bonelord was really funny... since the knock-out animation is basically the same as the death animation, the Bonelord just kind of compresses to a pancake, with the difference that there is no particle effect and the robes don't disappear. It looks really strange, but I guess the real question is why undead even have stamina.

Your comment about the usage of the word "portal" is actually similar to why I ended up needing to look up how to get into Azuras shrine during the main quest - I assumed the prophecy was referring to something much more fancy than the vaguely lighter rocks in the area, and there would be some kind of magical sign that I was in the right spot

This was my dads favorite way to play back in the day. Always swore on the monkfist. Vanilla game even

I remember trying monk years and years ago, and I loved playing the character. They leveled up immensely fast, and I could travel at hilarious speeds just hippidy-hopping through the archipelago, and I think it was the first ever run where I hit 100 skill thanks to how fast unarmed went up. There was something liberating about that one.

So here's something interesting I learned about Morrowind. If you are level 20 and have 50 Reputation, you can skip being named Nevarine and Hortator. That isn't super useful for you because it would take more time to do than doing it the normal way.

The idea of playing the game as a preset class, and only using that classes skills, is actually a fun way to make the game more enjoyable for an experienced player. I have so many hours and know how to break this game in a million different ways. Forcing myself to use weird skills would actually be so fun.

man you would NOT catch me trying something like this without damage fatigue spells, a mod that changes unarmed, or werewolf form. It takes some real dedication to do these kinds of masochism runs.

You've inspired me to pick up Morrowind again! Decided to randomly roll for my starting Race, Attributes, Skills and Sign, then roll for which three Attributes to increase each level up. I've been enjoying it a lot, breaks me out of some of my optimizer habits.

Gotta say, just happened across your vids and channel recently, always enjoy seeing someone challenge themselves in different ways. As *something of a Morrowind player myself* I've come up with some challenge ideas as well. Some of em are fairly simple, just adding some restrictions to force you to play a certain way while reducing options to increase challenge that way. Others are much more brutal, one of which I like to refer to as Azura's Champion which has a LOT of rules and essentially forces you into a hardcore run that can only use quest rewards; or of course anything in between, if you should have any interest in learning more. Either way, great vid and look forward to what you do next.

I beat Morrowind a couple months ago (alongside dlc) and been watching your videos makes me wanna play again.

Hand to Hand is OP. once I managed to get H2H to around 65-70 I was beating up Dremoras and Daedra etc. Even with a mod that adds extra Bandits etc, I could hold off a gang of 6 by just focusing on one bandit and punching them until they would pass out, then start punching a second bandit, when the first bandit got back up, I'd punch them again a couple of time and knock them out again, and go back to punching the 2nd bandit, until I had a circle of unconscious bandits around me, which I could then start focusing on punching them for health damage while they were unconscious. It was fun juggling bandits. Subscribed BTW, your narration can be hilarious at times.

I did a Khajit monk run back in '04 and it was one of my favorite builds. Knocking people down and then punching them to death was always a riot

He's called "Chipmonk" because his enemies are gonna have a lot of chipped bones and are gonna need a good monk to heal them from all the broken teeth

Man... this brings the nostalgia of my first custom class morrowind character. Only difference was I traded out block, light armor, marksman, and blunt for alchemy, alteration, enchanting, and mysticism. Slow as all hell to kill things, but I was ridiculously hard to kill.

So the firs time I played Morrowind ever, I answerd the questions to get a class... It gave me Witch Hunter. Which is probably the worst class for a new player. It has Enchant and Alchemy as major skills

I did a replay back in 2020 and made my char a monk. It was a super fun playthrough and the first time I actually managed to finish the game properly.

its such a shame they dumbed down (and then removed) the custom spell creator. It was SO COOL! They could have fleshed it out to be even more awesome as technology improved, but nooo they had to go the exact opposite direction with it :/

Shoutouts to the "Scoundrel" Khajiit character I ran a couple years ago, which was (eventually) focused on H2H as the primary "weapon"; it actually has surprisingly great synergy with short-blades, since landing a hit with one of the paralyze-daggers gives you free reign to punch away for practice It wasn't overpowered either, since even with some Light Armor and Unarmored training, he was still really squishy - I still distinctly remember sneaking into that Malacath shrine in the Vivec city sewers and the Orc warriors in there absolutely obliterated me

2:00 it's important to note that this is an OPTIONAL improvement in OpenMW! Now with Lua scripting, and even before with a little C++, you can modify the game a lot. I used to play with a very very simple patch that I wrote (by commenting like two lines of code lol) that made pickpocketing a bit more like Skyrim - enabling you to pickpocket equipped items. Fun.

Doing this in Oblivion with absorb health and fatigue on touch is a lot of fun.

21:30 my own interpretation of the Bonelord's KO animation is that there aren't any bones inside its cloak, so when its KO-ed the empty cloak just falls limp on the floor next to the arm bones and its skull

without watching further, the answer is very much yes, hand to hand is busted. Ok so those who are reading, shorter than short, Hand to hand does stamina damage at first, anything without stamina will get knocked down, which means free hits. So in a way, with your hands, you will knock down anything and everything, when knocked down, there is nothing that can be done besides praying. So hence its a good idea to invest in learning Alchemy which that in itself is busted, a case of higher highs and lower lows, its a pain in the ass to get going but once you do get it going, there are no limits.

theres so many ways to approach this game. we will never have another game made like this ever again. best tes
