As a child, I was spoiled the surprise of Quinn stealing my body because I had the W Emblem equipped going into the fight. That was a severe oversight on their part.

It looks like not only can you beat PM TTYD with Yoshi, but the thumbnail also shows you can beat MARIO, with Yoshi! Yoshi OP!

I mean, Yoshi does want to challenge Mario to become the new Glitz Pit champion in the post game. While we never get to see that fight, this video makes a pretty good case for Yoshi actually having a chance.

I hope Yoshi is just as capable in the remake. He is my favorite partner, tied with Goombella. Which is also ironic because they are the two i use the most

It doesn't look like they're doing any balance changes so far. Hell, if they add some of the unused badges from the original into the game he might get indirectly buffed by something like All-or-Nothing P, Lucky Day P and Lucky Start P.

Vivian and Yoshi both get by most of the game by themself, but the battle one of them excels at is impossible for the other. So both of them are pretty equal on the playing field Though vivian struggles alot on keelhaul xD

I don't know how the enemy AI exactly works like if they technically have a menu and select moves and stuff but it could be a nice stream of content if you could ask this question with random ememies (Lord Krump, a Pider, A Pirhanha plant, Parabuzzy, etc) and essentially convert them into partners I don't know how difficult coding that would be but it would be entertaining for sure

Converting them to partners would likely be very difficult. A lot of the more fancy attacks would be prone to potentially cause game crashes and it's also possible the lack of action commands could cause issues as well.
