In my personal head cannon the slime that attacks Yusuke during his first outing is the same slime in this video. He realizes too late he forgot myriad truths instead instead learning foul breath because he was button mashing during a level up
honestly man - he gave me a hard time the first playthrough, couldnt even imagine doing it with only slime. your persona runs are dope and super fun to watch, thanks for the fantastic run!
Frankly, I find Mitsuo more frustrating than either of the final bosses. Not necessarily harder, but even in a standard playthrough it just seems to drag. I think I died more times to Shadow Teddie on my first playthrough, but I still found it more fun.
Good lord this run must have been a nightmare to do! I’d have stopped at Yukiko if I’m being 100% honest with you! But this was an awesome video, keep up the good work :)
Challenge run idea: Every persona you have when you clear a boss is cursed and cannot be used in any way, they must be thrown away and never touched for the rest of the run. This also means you cannot use them for fusion or cards. To keep it interesting, you must have a full stock of personas for every boss.
This is really well made. I was surprised by the relative size of your channel compared to the quality! Will be checking your p5r runs when I complete that game, too
His vids are really good for being spoiler free and giving tips tbh I was stuck in p5 basic and realized from his no attack run that there's plenty of ways to stay alive that don't involve being aggressive as all hell to force knockdowns and AoAs
bro pump it up with more challenge runs, hope you'll touch the Xeno (Gears/Saga/Blade) series, not played much Xeno-games myself, but i think this series will be a great and interesting field of research 4 u ~
I think the bar items are designed to be novelties; hence, the silly appearance of a lot of them. A bit odd after P3P where gems can buy an item that insta-kills Nyx or Reaper.
cool video, although not surprising given that Persona 4 Golden gives a LOT of options. If you ever come back to this series, would you consider doing a challenge run using Persona 4 vanilla? There were things I liked about Golden but the extra content did make the game much easier than the PS2 original.
You should try to do a challenge run of a Persona game where you're not allowed to use any Magic attacks (other than Almighty, if you feel like it). This seems like a monstrous task, so Easy or Normal mode seems best for that sort of feat.
no, you can change resistances with skills having priority over the demon's actual resistances (Null Physical has priority over Slime's Physical resistance) but two "Resist Physical" won't stack
Many MegaTen games will have demons/persona that have a native elemental resistance but then learn (or can be given) that same resistance to its skill list strictly so it can be passed down to another demon/persona via fusion.
just wanted to say thanks for the way you handled not spoiling the killer!! I hate missing parts of videos cause of stuff like that cause i love hearing the battles
Honestly fire weakness isn't that bad if you've got the right spell card. But that's only if you want to use a spell card. A rare one at that. And I'm pretty sure you have to get it from Metatron, which requires level ups. Nevermind. Honestly, by the time you get all the magatsu xandrites and ryugu stones etc. To craft the exp 50% weapons, you will either be at the end of the game or would have grinded up to level 99 already. If items could carry over to NG+, I could at least claim them to not be a waste of time. You really don't get why NICE Guy helps Tough Guy back up?
Worse than having no weaknesses though. :) Yep, Tough Guy would've got himself up and attacked anyway, he doesn't need Nice Guy's help (unless stunned). Thanks for watching the vid! Appreciate you being here.
Well for the gen shop I think the only thing I bought was something for yukiko but I kind of regretted it. I think she had a 100addional sp item that I never ended up getting bc it was too expansive/ too hard to grind for the gems
Honestly, the only saving grace is if you get lucky and get a magician card during shuffle time, you can get null physical on slime, but besides that, slime isn't great.
Hey, I know I'm late, but this was a good run and a good video, I've wanted to do a similar run myself (just for myself). I would like to offer a bit of feedback, in regards to boss fight speed-up: I think it would be nice if you sped up most of the fight, but slowed down to normal speed to demonstrate important mechanics of the fight, like the guy helping the other guy up in the Kanji shadow fight. Great video, and I look forward to watching more
Thanks, yeah that's something I'm working on more and more. If you've seen my most recent video (Persona 3 Portable) then you'll probably have noticed me implementing what you mentioned. It takes a LOT more time to edit but it makes for a better video, agreed. Cheers!
I beat this game like a couple months ago with my boyfriend thinking Marie was the true final dungeon And we got the true ending but now I'm hearing that there's a final dungeon You can miss?!? With the true mastermind??? Wtf?!? Why the hell would they make it so easily missable??? That's so stupid and a waste of effort if you're going to make your content that easily missable
Haven’t finished the video but one thing I noticed while watching so far is the audio balance of you vs the music could be a bit better. I feel your voice volume is fine but either the music for around the kanji fight should be toned down or increase your volume imo. Having your voice and the music around the same is clashing a lot.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you block ailments by guarding? And doesn't she telegraph her world's end and summons to yomi combo by casting stagnant air and mind change the prior round?
@@RPGchallengeruns glad I could help. That combo is painful because the preceding mind charge makes world's end hit for a lot, and with stagnant air the enervate is pretty likely to stick. So that's one less hurdle to circumvent. I gotta say, you not knowing that trick makes this victory even more impressive.
It's a shame he can't evolve these weak personas from the challenges, I would find it even cooler if I could see what cool things there are after so much time spent on these personas.
