The reason you can't walk up the wall in the distant tundra is because in the switch version you move slightly faster! There's actually another way to get OoB in Distant Tundra without yellows using a Swooping Snitchbug, which you could've used to avoid using yellows entirely. edit: i should've watched the rest of it lmaooooo
Sadly my Wii U broke so I can play pikmin 3 anymore I have all the other games HEY PIKMIN DOES NOT COUNT but u plan to try and get it soon on my switch
as someone who's favourite pikmin type is winged pikmin, it's weirdly pleasing getting to learn how required they make themselves by holding progress hostage with invisible barriers
Whether in pikmin 2 or 4 I would really like to see a only white pikmin run. Mainly due to white pikmin being overshadowed by all the other pikmin types in the games that’s story modes feature them, imo. It’ll be cool to see the poisonous speedy digger bois get used to their fullest potential. Without having to share the limelight
I mean if you look at the challenge runs Press A and Lemon did for 2 you can see that a white only run is not only impossible, but also not very interesting. Purples only has the fact that it actually only needs purples to pay off the debt and get the good ending (beyond the tutorial) going for it, while blue only needs to use purples 2x but gets to a waaay higher clear %. Both skip pretty much every instance of anything that requires whites, except a few treasures every dungeon. Whites only would still require purples, but also have the lower clear %.
3:34 It is possible to defeat the mawdad without pikmin by slapping it with one of the captains. That being said, rocks are still needed for the crystal walls earlier in the Garden of Hope
Heres a fun fact about me, back when Pikmin 3 first came out, I was 5 years old. The final boss made my red, yellow, winged and blue pikmin extinct so I beat the final boss with 42 rock pikmin. Best moment ive had with this game
4:34 Fruits are necessary once for progression, not just to keep your characters fed. The path to the Blue Onion will only open if you have at least one bottle of juice at the beginning of a day. There’s even some dialogue that hints at such. Plus, the Scornet Maestro drops the Seed Hive which grants 2.5 bottles by itself, or 1.25 on the Deluxe version’s Ultra-Spicy version. Considering how rare of an occurrence that would be, that’s some impressive attention to detail.
For me it's Pikmin 2 cause of how many bosses there are and all the different looks and themes for the bosses (I modded my game a bit to have custom music for every boss since I don't like the default on to much)
@@itsmrfoxy7364yeah I wish that the bosses had a variant of the theme like the American long legs has more metal or the emperors have horns to go with their royal status.
I don't comment a ton, but you have some of the best content i have seen in a bit. You and lemon are great and the pikmin 2 challenge was great. Keep up the great work.
Ima be honest as I kid I ALWAYS fought the phosbat like that looking back IM SO STUPID, I always lit up the cave after killing phosbat. I was always so confused on why it took so long.
For the Scornet Maestro, when using wii remote and nunchuk control type you can angle your pointer with the sensor bar, allowing you to turn a bit easier on some of the ledges at the edge of the arena without falling down. Hope this helps you get closer to finishing that fight.
I really enjoy the detailed explanations you offer in these videos, and im curious and excited to see even more in future challenge runs and even other game series you run.
I can't believe Nintendo was so dang aggressive on trying making sure you solve everything only the way they want that they walled off parts of levels with invisible barriers so many times
You are finally being discovered and its amazing i only discovered you 2 weeks before your friendly challenge with lemon (backlogs guy) and i love your videos i have probably watched everything
These videos are so good, I'm so excited whenever there's a new upload! Love the theory crafting with glitches and exploits you have to plan out. Super fun, it's like solving a puzzle.
I gotta say, yall been putting in work on this channel. Frequent, quality uploads and they're all crazy challenge runs. Keep it up, you guys are the next BIG youtube gaming channel
I found you via the Backlogs video and really enjoy your content! Pikmin has been one of my favourite franchises since I played the first one on Game Cube back in the day and these challenge videos are amazing to watch!
Contents great bro. I played Pikmin 1 and 2 on both releases but fell off from the franchise after that despite enjoying them. So all the Pikmin vids are fun to watch and catch up. 😁
Your videos are of such good quality and I've been seeing you on my feed for so long I didn't realize how few subscribers y'all have, happy to be here to support and watch!
Found you through the backlogs video for purple pikmin it was fun watching you 2 compete at yellow pikmin giving a sub because your hilarious glad he recommended you
I dont think I've ever actually subscribed when a content creator does a call for action, but today I actually did. Hit me like "huh I guess I'm not subbed to this guy yet." GREAT content my man!
Pikmin 4 is coming, it’s the one I’m least familiar with. So I have a lot of work to do before I can put together an interesting run. But I’m glad you enjoy the vids!
@@pressaTD I recall someone successfully doing a zero Pikmin, Oatchi only run in Pikmin 4. Spoilers on how: (But it'd still be interesting to see you attempt a restricted run! Playing semantics with the end of day stats which forget about Pikmin abandoned in the ground in caves makes it more interesting and less just waiting on a grind.) ... ... The two player Pebble Pitcher mode is kinda broken when you abuse it - for example, it's still active in survey drone mode if you unpause time, and can even break down walls, meaning you can fully clear any map of hazards before leaving base, at zero risk to yourself. The rest is just waiting on Oatchi to slowly drag things around, pitching pebbles at him to speed him up slightly (and avoiding the special strength upgrade which makes that minor speed up no longer functional).
Finally I found another human being who has the Wii U version instead of the Switch version! I can’t stand the controls on the Switch version. Wii remote all the way
Well done, keep going! Tips to improve the quality of the video: Try to reduce the amount of "and" in your skrip. Should make it not sound like you reading down a list. Increase the distance between you and the mic. Speak as loud as possible (do not peak out). Loudness can be editid. With that you should sound lifelier and clearer. Current quality of the mic is more than enough, but first investment should be a mic setup.
i would LOVE to see you try to do a minimum *everything* all treasure, part, fruit, etc. run in any game. especially pikmin 4. there's some insane small skips
Rock Pikmin are my go-tos for the Plasm Wraith fight considering it literally can't kill them unless you yourself throw them into the elemental areas it spits out.
Fun fact: if you dismiss pikmin onto olimar they will all grab on during the cutscene so you don’t have to add on pikmin while being chased by the plasm wraith
Challenge: Pikmin 4 but you can never take recommended Pikmin out of the onion. They can be found or born, just never taken from the onion (this includes entering caves.)
I miss playing pikmin 3 on the Wii U. I have it for the switch but something about the Wii U as a whole is just nostalgic. Which my game pad wasn’t broken.😞
Hey, you managed to get through the entire game only using the new Pikmin 3 types as soon as they were available throughout the challenge. That’s got to count for something right?
If you are thinking of doing 4 next I recommend using winged or purple since they are most promising I can also confirm it is possible with red and blue
I pretty sure I once saw that if you let your Rock Pikmin get taken by the Scornets then attack them the captured Rocks will hit the Scornet Maestro. But I couldn’t find the video.
i think there's a way to get out of bounds slightly to the left of the entrance to brittany's cave at least on the switch version but it might also not work on the wii u i'm not sure
Im addicted to the lil pikimans. Pikmin 4 ruined me. Ive finished 4/3/2 within 2 weeks. 100%d with all plat medals on 4/3. Now im here. For oak: make britney take long path to force the wraith to a corner to buy time.
Rocks are no substitute for purples, but rocks sacrifice their extra muscle for something no other type has, immunity to crushing. It's kind of disappointing they keep abandoning types and mechanics, but maybe 5th time's a charm?
"i wasnt going to spend money on another version of this game" is a reoccuring trend in these challenge videos amongst you and your rival(s?), there are a BUNCH of differences from level design to tweaked mechanics and so on between pikmin 3 and pikmin 3 deluxe, so many little things. "normal" mode is mostly easier, "hard" on deluxe is about the difficulty of pikmin 3 for wii u, but there are entirely new game modes and side stories where you play as olimar and louie in deluxe EDIT: i forgot to mention ultra-spicy difficulty, which limits the number of pikmin you can have on the field at a time as well as reducing the amount of juice fruit is worth
"and i do the only thing i can do at this point" cry? "try" oh, i guess that's also an option 😂🙃 for real though, i've been hunting for a max level brontosaurus in ark mobile for like 8 hours now and have not found a single one. i'm ready to cry 😂
For the fourth boss(I forgot the name) it might be possible to throw the rock Pikmin from the first ledge if you use a wii remote, if it works then the boss might be possible with only rock Pikmin. I will test this then edit the comment later.
got an easier but hopefully still fun pikmin challenge for you if the hard challenges are butning you out sometime, what is the Maximum of total pikmin you can gather in the 30 days alloted? BONUS: get all 30 ship parts as well ((comes with an extra challenge of minimizing pikmin losses))
