Woah! I literally ALWAYS nickname my Ghastlys "Fart" as well! I got the idea from the Rick and Morty episode with the sentient cloud that they also name "Fart".
I don't know if this hack gets any more enjoyable later, but I played it up until two island and I have to say that it's not only not fun, but bullshit. There aren't any cool changes to the game or maps (besides basic implementations of stuff like the physical special split). Trainers constantly increase in level for no goddamn reason beside to fill the game with fake difficulty and early game trainers have ridiculous pokemon like a random double battle with 2 level tens when you're pokemon should be in the 5-6's at most at that point. (That's really the worst it gets but it shows this hack was not balanced correctly.) Blaine has a fucking early game magmar with fucking Fire Punch, and then for your next major encounter you're forced to battle 4 fucking bikers in a row, each with poison types, which you have no counters for except your starter this early in the game. It is also SUPER easy to get poisoned or cheesed by their smokescreen / minimize spam. And don't get me started on the goddamn weezing / muk who are practically impossible to defeat without either overleveling, item spam (which I had a rule that I wasn't allowed to use items because you shouldn't be forced to use items to defeat trainers in a normal hack, and for more challenge), or insane luck. Not to mention other things, like the laziness on the road to cinnabar, the fact that you have to wander around cinnabar mansion with no repels, not being able to level up except on wild magikarps (which you need the old rod for, which isn't automatically given to you) or the bikers before the biker fight because you're trapped in the islands. I wanted to come into this rom hack and enjoy it. I was attempting to do an itemless nuzlocke because I thought it would be fun. All that did though was made me realize how poorly balanced this rom hack was. Sure it has some good features, like good pokemon variety early game, the physical special split, and a new take on firered and leafgreen's level design. However, none of this matters because the random bullshit thrown at you so early, with increasing levels for fake difficulty, makes this hack simply unfun to play. Maybe I would've enjoyed myself more if I had not been attempting some sort of nuzlocke. However, that is something I won't know because I attempted to play the way I wanted to play and was harshly punished for it. I give what I've seen of this hack like, a 2/10. The hack stopped being entertaining after I left pallet, it stopped being interesting after I entered cinnabar mansion, and it stopped being fun after I fought Blaine.
While watching this i was crying...wonder why? Its Because In my first ever phone(Sony) i had this game(the fire red version) but....every THREE Christmas... We all have to switch phones,we only transferred the important stuffs,and well...i didnt know how to transfer the file so i left it in my first phone....but.That phone... It broke now i cant even keep the memories........ thank you for reading my story....
@@jmponage what's more pathetic, is the fact that this exp share feat. exists at all in the main games during story. Should be post-game ONLY. You can see here obviously how it just ruins any difficulty curve. It's like playing World of Warcraft Classic with fucking 1000g to start with.
This is complete BS without the exp all. Trainers just increase in levels constantly, which just means constant grinding. I've literally only played the early game, but it's incredibly unfun. Seriously, Muk and Weezing early game? And Blaine has a fucking magmar with fire punch? Also the EXP ALL is so unfun to use. It constantly shows you all the exp your team gets instead of just saying it shared exp, which makes it tedious af. This hack was not well balanced.
