Fun fact: Krabby's evolved form, Kingler, had the highest base attack stat of all non-mega, non-legendary water types until generation 7, with the Introduction of School Form Wishiwashi.

Little point of interest: The accuracy of OHKO moves starting in gen 2 scales with level gap: The higher level you have compared to the opponent, the more accurate the OHKO move is.

You should do any game with only a beldum cause he only learns 1 move by lvl up

One hit KO moves increase accuracy the higher level you are than the target.

You shoulda used Stomp against the muk, it does double damage to any pokemon that used minimize

1HKO Moves actually function a bit differently than normal moves, they have 30% hit chance BASE, but for every level the user is higher than the opponent the % increases, by 1% per level, further more if the user is slower than the target, or a lower level than the target 1HKO moves will automatically fail, so the higher level Krabby gets compared to it's opposition the more reliable Guillotine will become

I used Crabby / Kingler as my surf cut slave in my last yellow play through. I meant to use him untill I found a replacement, but the little guy turned out to be the hidden star of the team. Much respect for tasty Pokemon

Correct if I'm wrong for gen 3, but Guillotine and all other OHKO moves get 1% more accuracy per level above the opposing Pokemon

Guillotine has a base of 30 if you and your opponent are the same level. For every level you are higher than the opponent you gain 1 accuracy. That means when Arbok was hit it was at 55%

I had a crabby/kingler a couple times in my team, definitely underrated. Also parasect is amazing yet quite overlooked.

Btw, when you hit kouga’s muk every time despite minimize, it’s because stomp ignores minimize and even does Double damage to minimize enemies.

Guillotine doee not have just 30 percent accuracy. It increases for every level higher than the opponent you are. If you are eleven levels higher that becomes 41 percent and if you are 70 levels higher a one hundred percent chance to hit.

The real challenge would have been whether you could beat the game without other pokémon for HM’s. Krabby can learn Cut, Surf, and Strength, so you could’ve beaten the game without “HM slaves.”

Cool video, always loved krabby and Kingler I had every playthrough a few suggestions: 1, replace crabhammer for surf for accuracy and can 1 hit all the rock ground that you were 2x mudshotting to kill (mudshot/crabhammer 90 ACC and less) 2, RETURN TM! Does a lot of dmg, i believe by the time you are at elite 4, youd have about 107 base power normal move which is like 40% stronger than stomp or something like that 3, Your Krabby had shell armor I think so you never had to worry about being critical hit, since his attack was being lowered I assume he didn't have hyper cutter ability so shell armor is the 2nd, allows you to be more risky knowing you will never be critical-ed Awesome video tho!

Future information for koga. Stomp always hits if minized and it even does extra damage in that case. His his muk extremely easy for any pokemon that can learn stomp

Doesn’t Guillotine have more than 30% accuracy? 30% is standard if you are on the same level as the opponent. If you are higher levelled than the opponent, it’s accuracy raises, or am I mistaken?

I know this is such an amateur question, but how do you manipulate the game to let you have different starters? Also, are you playing on a computer?

Do next challenge with additional rule: without saving. It will make you lose plenty of $ on black outs, making the challenge harder.

Idk if I missed you explain this, but every rock/ground combo you used mud shot instead of crabhammer? Might be special but would do 4x damage and all their sp. def are ass as opposed to their monster defense stats

Guillotine's base accuracy is 30 and increases 1% per level difference. That's why guillotine hits most of the time.

Guillotine may only have a 30% hit chance, but that is against pokemon higher in level then it. The accuracy of the attack goes up when the pokemon using it is higher in level then the opponent.

One thing I recently learned is that Stomp is 100% accurate on Pokémon that use Minimize. I've been playing Pokémon since R/B/Y came out originally and I JUST learned this lol.

Great video. Small critique though: Try finding wording besides variations of "Next up". During the Elite 4 part, you said "Next up" a LOT. Other then that I think you did fine.
