Another great vlog. I take your advice back to my box everyday. I always do, what others call, "extra work" after the daily WOD. You've help me tremendously. Thank you for your help and letting the world into you life... VERY brave my friend. #wedontquit
I love that mentality switch from bodybuilding to crossfit. I train like a bodybuilder, but I try not to point out flaws in my body and rather be happy with performance in the gym such increase in bench strength. Having a mentality like that really does help make training more fun !
I appreciate your mentality when it comes to resistance training. I don't do crossfit but I do strength training for a very similar reason of wanting to be stronger and to be better than I was yesterday. That's why I follow you despite not being a crossfitter. Your mentality and attitude are a good motivation pre training session
Been binge watching your stuff lately and just saw this. I want to say this is awesome! I’m kind of in the same mindset myself. I feel a great sense of accomplishment from completing a good metcon, BUT I also get a sense of happiness and accomplishment from a good bodybuilding style workout. It’s how I started and it just feels like home. Variety is the spice of life and we don’t have to do the same type of things all day everyday. Keep up the great work man!
Happy new year, I 💯 agree I transitioned into crossfit from traditional training made gains, competed in physique comps and got a pro card in 2016 n qualified for body power 2018. Great video and very motivating seeing your progress with the Olympic lifts last year
What Jas eats in a day or week or how she calculates her macros (if she does) or just how she deals with food! Would looove to hear a female crossfitter talk about nutrition! Happy new year to my faves 👌😍💃
I heard some guy lost 12kg in just one month by following diet plan from *Agoge Diet* so I tried that too. Although I didn't lose that much, I could say this thing really works and it's definitely worth trying
I also come from a bodybuilding 'background' and switched to a mix of calisthenics and crossfit because I didn't want to focus on asthetics but functionality. I appreciate your point of view and agree with you. Especially the point of the different (better) mentality!
I had the same thing with football. I played it 4 times a week against academy teams and it was all I lived and breathed but I stopped enjoying it. Then I discovered Crossfit through Leon and John who made me aware of the other John who made me aware of you. You guys are to thank for making me enjoy exersice again, thank you :)
stumbled on your channel the other day buddy new to the crossfit scene coming over from bodybuilding aswell. Just wanted to say I enjoy the videos and keep doing what ya do man :) cheers!
I always thought dieting is expensive and 'healthy' food costs a lot. Little did I know. I got my diet plan from Agoge Diet and I was able to select foods that fit my budget.
I have a fairly decent background from bodybuilding and I've started doing crossfit like 4 months ago. In the beginning, I was really scared of losing a lot of gains, but nowadays I can say that I agree a 100% percent with you. I wouldn't say that my physic is "better" now, but definitely I look well, and my performance climbed to the sky. Like always, great video!
Hey, Just seen your comment right now and I hope you'll get this notification so you can make a sort of a summary of what you think now after like 1 year of practicing crossfit and the repercussions on your muscle mass. Thank you my friend
You're a beast. I definitely need to eat more and sleep more to keep those gains! Good thoughts! 1 year of Crossfit and even though I don't have all the movements yet, I feel like without eating and sleeping more I'll just remain stagnant.
I only believe in NextLevelDiet. They provide you with personalized meal plan, training plan, fitness tips, healthy recipes. Thats everything you need to transform your body and get six pack :D
Hey team, did my first crossfit workout today (Annie). It was hard, but I loved it. Couldn't finish it. Thank you for the motivational vids and introducing me to it. Btw, I was hstl made shirt with proud.
The thing about this video, is that you give out you honest and humble opinion 💯💯 I’ll probably will never as fit as you but my health in mind though crossfit feel fit as fuck hahah keep up the vids #likeforjas #hstl Saludos desde tijuana México 🇲🇽
This is awsome stuff, since you have degree in Fisio and the experience in training would be cool to creat content related with that, good workout/warm up movements for range and healthy body Cheers Craig, from Portugal
NextLevelDiet really took my diet to the next level. Not only diet, but life. I can see improvements in many aspects of my life. Guys, you rock! #NextLevelDietVerify
I heard good things about the Nano 8's, so maybe you can nab a pair of those when they (re)launch (they won't look as cool, but they might smell better!)
You should enter a bodybuilding comp as a crossfitter, doing no bodybuilding training for prep, just crossfit. Would be interesting to see how well you’d do!!
Hey Craig. What football team did you play for and follow? Have you played football since starting crossfit and have you noticed a difference in your performance? I'm a huge football fan and have seen tremendous improvement since I started crossfit. Keep up the awesome work!!
You talk send a. I was a full time athlete (sprinter), my body was lean, strong, i had a great physique and I also did some extra weights to balance my body. Always had small legs, but it never stopped me squatting big numbers, Just never bulked them up!!! I'm 58 now, still go to the gym 5 times a week, and ride my mtb bike at weekends and also play golf occasionally. Life's good, eat well and sleep loads. Great blogs you two.
You can do resistance exercise and combine it with cardio .You can design your own program and you can be very fit and make muscle and strength gains. There are problems both with crossfit and bodybuilding.
I've noticed my max bench and repa at bodyweight have dropped after changing to a crossfit training programme, but everything else has gone up including my fitness!
What about chucking in accessory work like biceps and triceps after a heavy Olympic weightlifting day? Not necessarily dedicating an entire workout to a 'swole sesh' but just doing some aesthetic work? Would this provide any benefit?
Any advice for someone who is really committed to crossfit and wants to carry on with it, who is moving away to somewhere where they can't get to a box?? Would be really sad if I couldn't keep doing crossfit and have to go back to life before it!
I do bodybuilding twice a week. Only upper body tho (and calves). My legs get a good workout doing crossfit...but definately not as big as they would be if I added in hypertrophy training.
Nano 8 are coming next week, bro! They are apparently really good, even better than the 6s and wayyy better than the 7s aka „the stiffest nano yet“. Maybe get some
Great video and EVERYONE it takes longer to gain muscle thats metabolically active. Or "size." With crossfit. However you can gain strength with crossfit just as quick as bodybuilding but not size.
Building your body for aesthetics does not equate to fitness, but become fit and the aesthetics will come. A functional body is a fit body, a fit body is a healthy body, and a healthy body is a good looking body. Sure, your body won’t build in the same way it would if you were strictly body building but the body you do build will be built for the movements you perform: running, rowing, swimming, rope climbing, cleaning, snatching, gymnastics, and so forth. A stronger muscle is a bigger muscle no matter how you flip it.
