Usually I fish across the water at the jetty and I've past few sessions looked over at that spot so last Sunday went to scope it out on low tide, tbh I walked right past the canal thinking its just flat cement, no mud, no rocks, nothing really going on so just skipped it. Guess I need to learn more about fishing lol.
Great experience. Thanks for the chat in Kogarah some weeks ago when I was walking around the Scarborough Park Lake with my dog. :) Go ahead and share more! :)
If the canals are filling late afternoon right now the best time I have found is as soon as they start filling, caught sambos and all in them canals and the mouths of them... In winter I find the canal needs to be more full before the fish start to move in 👍🏼 What a way to have a quick break from work mate, never a day I don't take my rod to work with me, You just never know when and where you can catch some fish 🎣💪 Awesome work and good to see you getting on them Bream and flatties in the urban canals
Great video champion, I went out to Iron Cove canal today and got 6 flathead, and 3 decent whiting over 30 cm, , canal was full of jelly prawns, last week there i dropped a massive flathead around 80 cm, after trying to net it 4 times, the leader broke, using 6 lb, and the new Zman prawn, was devastated, would of definitely been a new PB,
Quality Mick, love this type of Fishing epecially fishing down Parra way in the freshwater, it's always a shock when locals see a fish pulled out of them.
10 anglers tomorrow in that canal bro XD Nice and smooth smoko sesh as you said. You definitely need to try another time. Try for me as well, I'm too short to reach over the fence LOL
