Can you COMPLETE Terraria in Legendary Mode? (Part 2) 

I pulled some muscles in my back last week making it super hard to record this, but it's finally here! I started recording this on 1.4.4's launch day, and it's about 20 hours condensed :)

I can't believe the man who forgot about the existence of vile powder is on his merry way to beat Terraria's most brutal non-modded challenge yet.

I love how every time chippy says something like “red please” he’s essentially just praying to god

I ended up painting the jungle temple walls to increase visibility. That is the first time I have used paint, and I love that doing so is a strategy that works. I'm absolutely in love with the problem solving in this seed.

I’m 90% sure the Abigail’s flower rebalances for hardmode

I love this seed. Me and my friends discoverd so much that wasn't on the wiki at the time such as pre hard mode magic daggers and a hardmode wand of sparkling.

You make me want to play terraria for hours

Holy crap, Chippy pronounced Aegis right!!! Never thought I'd see the day, he's come so far I'm gonna cry

The golem buff (and partly temple) you can’t see/cut wires until golem is defeated, and the golem buff was made to where you can’t hit the fists to make them instantly retract anymore

so the buff that Golem got is that his fists can no longer be blocked by hitting them, forcing you to dodge them instead.

Took me forever to make it to the surface, and I was surprised to see the entire surface is evil, meeting in the middle. And a lot of giant trees.

out of this whole seed, i love that the web attacks from spiders make actual webs, they should add a new type of spider to normal seeds that can do that too but make it rare like medusa or nymphs

All the new effects from bosses like dark golem planterra thorns skeletron spawning dark casters is actually from for the worthy they changed it and made for the worthy more difficult for some reason but I like it

Just a tip on shimmer, you actually can find it naturally in any world, even in pre-hardmode. Its biome almost always spawns in the same general area in each world too.

tip for plantera: teleporters in the corners with pressure plates that teleport you to the opposite conrer of the arena. Makes the fight much easier. You basicly walk into a corner and you just keep walking on the other side without the need to click anything

Mechdusa is quite a struggle, but for this seed you definitely made it harder on yourself building an arena on the surface its much better just going down to the underworld and digger out a huge space in the ash and dig a bit into the mushroom biome above to get as much room as you need without evil enemies, low gravity or the risk of touchng the top of the map. also ive just made it up to moon lord on this seed a while back and it is actually painful

If anyone is struggling with golem, a small trick you can do is use illuminant coating on the walls to see golem more clearly

The surface strat with gravity potions is my go-to now for beating Mechdusa, I've been doing it mostly on my own with some friends joining in here and there if they wanna. I couldn't find any way how to properly fight it til' I looked to this vid, thank you!

I wanted to try the seed before watching this part, and I just want to come back to say: HOLY CRAP! This is painful! I am a few hours in, and I didn't know what I was getting into!

"Look at what I've gone through..." I believe it took over 5000 bats for me to get the depth meter to drop. I had a screen with only bat banners I used to keep track. (Afterwards, I got so many depth meter drops it was ridiculous.)

Jesus Christ, this looks painful but really fun, and I think the main Golem change it's in how his punches work now, since now you can't reflect them by attacking them... I think.

i hope you do the frost and pumpkin moons in the next episode. i sorta doubt it since i cant think of much thatd be incredible with them (maybe the razor pine?) i just personally like the events i guess

Hey, you should check out the shimmer biome in the celebrationmk10 seed. They did something to it and it's pretty crazy, the shimmer biome is massive for some reason

Ever since the update came out I wanted to take on this challenge.. as a summoner only. After 56 hours I made it into hardmode, and I was fortunate enough to get a rod of discord early into it, but after watching this and finding out you can only summon in the mechs by fighting mechdusa actually gave me pain.. only pain, but good to know.. the hardest fight was still the WoF, so I got faith.

It's been years since I last not kill golem right after plantera in vanilla. Wow Red, you managed to do the impossible

The Wand of Sparking is a hardmode weapon in this seed

Just got back into this game and man I can spend endless hours just playing and discovering new stuff I love it

Idea: Slots for your tools depending on the rarity, higher rarity, more slots. You would fill these slots will a new soul gems dropped by select bosses, and lower tiers found in chests. They would be buffs to each weapon like being able to apply fire, frost, extra crit, etc. I think it would just add more customization to the game overall while making searching for chests more valuable. These would be very rare.

This new mode might get me to return back to terraria

watching you hang around the shimmer right after you got the rod of discord but not dropping it in hurt my physically edit: this apparently only works after moonlord, thought that the only item with this requirement was the shimmer bucket

They REALLY need to make bosses unable to despawn unless all players are dead. They may have fixed cheesing the Eater of Worlds by not letting it drop the loot bag if some of it despawns, but it mainly acts as a band-aid fix, allowing things like this to slip through the cracks.

I rewatched some of your videos and fell back in love with this game so thank you. And out of curiosity, will you be coming back to that calamity playthrough?

6:47 I find myself often using Cursed Flames and especially Golden Shower super early on cause they can be arced to have quite some range. I'll take a spirit flame if I can get a stupid sand storm to happen, but otherwise all of hex doll, crystal storm and poison staff struggle a bit more at longer ranges. Golden Shower is easily my favorite among them besides spirit flame, cause it also helps out your summon + sentry (And Nimbus Rod) a lot, and you don't need to be very accurate to get that value. I find myself using Golden Shower most, then sometimes when I notice I have a nice window I swap to any of Crystal Storm, Poison Staff or Hex Doll as a shotgun, Hex Doll ain't great at kiting but boy does it have high dmg potential vs. tight clusters.

Are you going to turn the rod into the rod of harmony?

My world didn't have any weapons until I got a musket. Every chest was an accessory. I had to resort to using the paintball-gun from the painter to get to the musket. 1st time I've used it and it got me through until I received the minishark and farmed demons for their scythe. Of course I immediately found weapons after but that's R&G at its best.

You can get the keybrand in prehardmode from the travelling merchant on the getfixedboi seed. I didn't know if anyone knew that or not.

The Unholy Trident is a post-mech boss weapon so I highly doubt they'd nerf it

Shimmer is so good, way easier ankh charm and cell phone. Being able to research a lot more in a single journey world, and a lot of permanent upgrades

I’m pretty sure the unholy trident is normally post-mech so that is probably why it appears so strong

what do you guys think about a quarterly competition to create the most immersive and creative mod? It would be added to the game, after being tweaked by the devs ofc. I think encouraging the modding community is the best thing for the game, and would create some great content if they choose to record it. I want to see some crazy new things like customizable mobility devices, like a jet that will duplicate any summons using explosives. They would be very powerful, available mid-late game through tons of grinding,

The spectur hood converts 40% of your magic damage to healing magic it heals the person with the lowest hp on your team so its kind of a supporter armor

Not me getting a rod of discord when trying to farm for soul of lights and having only killed like 26 chaos elementals

you should use shield of cthulhu for duke fishron's phase 3 so you don't have to dodge (just dash into him and you get enough invincibility frames for him to go through you without dealing any damage)

At 26:34 on the left you can actually see truffle worm squiggling around LOL

24:00 usually i bring sticky bombs and throw them on the ground to break all the pressure plates on the ground because i always get scuffed dungeons with short roofs.

I actually didn't have too much of an issue with mechdusa as a summoner. Made a sky walk with asphalt block with the dagger summon from the Queen slime. Ran along the road while hitting it with the golden shower + my whip while keeping out of range. Killed the limbs from skeletron prime first, followed by both eyes, then the mech worm then finally the head. Took about 2-3 tries but wasn't all that bad. Helped that I had the rod of discord, so when i ran out of road, i could warp to the other side of him and continue running

Glad to know I'm not the only person thats awful at the twins. A lot of the times in my playthroughs I go after Skeletron Prime first because I find him to be the easiest, and the twins always stomp me at least twice without fail.

make sure to fight empress of light and queen slime, you can get yourself the royal delight! also once you beat moon lord put the rod of discord in shimmer and clentaminator,

The changes to bosses I have found out are on ftw, not just the everything seed(besides mechucsa), that honestly is super awsome that I can do ledgandary mode lite and training for the real deal

I'm playing the same gamemode as you but only using Zenith swords and it's insanely hard!!, I had a decent armor and equipment and still had the copper shortsword because I couldn't find enough demonite!!
