To answer your question as to why Vegas survived the whole nuke thing, House had a missile defense system that shot down nukes inbound towards Vegas sparing it from being absolutely boofed.

I like the idea of dragging Preston across fallout 4, to show him all the settlements he marked on your map but IDK about the survival hard mode thing. That seems a bit brutal to me.

This past January, I went out to the southern corner of Nevada, to see the Mojave, as well as Goodsprings and Primm. I wish I'd waited till now so I could see a mad Irish lad dragging a corpse through the desert babbling to himself.

About hardcore mode, the survival bars are too lenient to affect the game. The real kicker is that companions now can die for good, and the healing system - stimpacks restoring health over time instead of instanteniously and limbs only being healable by doctors and expensive bags really changes how you approach danger.

you asked about the fallout 4 challenge video about who to drag across the wasteland. how bout preston follows you everywhere while you try to take your dead wife out on a romantic tour across boston, doing things like eating at a fancy diner, staying at luxury motels, seeing the city form the tallest points, watch the prewar flying ship parade (the robot boat), take a helicopter tour, visit the glowing sea and take a photo with the wildlife, bowling at a historic lane, walking along the beach under the moonlight, visiting a theme park, riding a ferry to visit a local island steeped in mystery, partake in a bar crawl, and last but not least bringing your dead wife and son, who is older than you and dying, together for one last photo before a fusion reactor goes haywire and blows everyone up (especially preston).

It's a real mark of skill/personality that those 2 and a half hours didn't get boring at all, happily worked on stuff with Micky keeping me company on the right corner of my screen, always doin the cool stuff 👍

One thing I can't get over is that instead of using the console to move Benny's body between cells, Micky apparently spawned a new Benny each time as evidenced by the few times he had to kill him again. At the end of this journey, there's probably a dozen bodies of Benny scattered about the Mojave in various places.

The intro with Benny's body at all the landmarks around the mojave gave me some morbid Flat Stanley vibes! Awesome vid, Micky, cheers! :)

You know if you had a high enough speech, you could have just convinced Swank about Benny’s plans to take New Vegas, where Swank would send him to his room for you to sneak and kill him without any of the guards attacking you. But it was more fun to watch you fight the whole Tops!

A little tip I found out...If you sneak attack the person that takes your guns and kill them in any casino the next time you enter he can't ask you for them because he's dead so they wont get taken away. I do this every playthrough so I feel like the boss of the strip

Just a couple of things Mickey -the higher your sneak stat the more weapons you can slip by casino guards - grenade rifles fire in a arc so aim up a bit if you dont wanna hit yourself -New Vegas wasn’t as badly effected by the nukes due to House’s Defence hence why it isn’t that fucked up -you can store your items on the Benny Corpse if you get over encumbered

For some reason I thought this was a Nerbit video at first. Then after 30 seconds I pulled out of fullscreen and went "Oh, it's Micky D." And everything clicked into place. I also went "Holy shit this is 2 hours?"

Every time I fall asleep watching RU-vid, this video plays and I always wake up to Micky telling me to wake the F up. Can't think of a better alarm clock.

Vegas was targeted with like 50 nukes. It’s contradicted in the game but House either intercepted every single one, or all but one, if he did miss one it might be responsible for the crater behind the highway patrol station by primm Edit: okay! Turns out there were 77 aimed at Vegas and it’s surroundings areas, house force transmitted disarming codes to 59 of them with lasers on the lucky 38 roof shooting down 9 more, the rest hit areas outside of Vegas. According to Raul you could see the lucky 38’s defenses popping off all the way in Mexico City but I personally doubt that unless the lasers where shooting them down in orbit Edit 2: just saw someone else answered this, just not as in depth.

Fun fact: That Gun is actually a reference to the "Detective Special" or the LAPD 2019 Blaster from the film Bladerunner though I can understand how Micky D could think it's a reference to older fallout game weapons.
