I have been playing League since 2014 so that is roughly about 9 years and the highest rank I have ever reached is Gold 4. In early December, I decided to try out Skill-capped. I main support and have been going through their videos and I must say, within a month I have learnt so much about the game that I didn't even know about for the past 9 years. From wave management to teamfight participation to basic game mechanics, I would be lying if I said that I didn't learn anything. Just over a week after the new season, I am currently Gold 4 again after the reset put me down to Silver 4. This is the fastest I have ever climbed in my 9 years of League and I look forward to the rest of the climb. I will continue using skill-capped for now until I feel like I have achieved the rank that I want. JapaneseImport and Hector and Achilles Heelies and of course the rest of the skillcapped team really put out videos that help you understand the game better if you accept that you really don't know the game at all (and trust me, if you are in low elo, you don't know the game). I never ever realized so much goes on in matches, so much strategy, so many concepts, so many things only YOU can do to alter your matches. I highly recommend sillcapped for beginners and intermediaries as there really is so much to learn and once you accept that you are stuck because of you and no-one else, you will seriously climb. This is not a promo post or anything, I just recently started using skillcapped because of their well structured courses and easy to find videos.

More players now can learn from RU-vid and are better than years ago is my guess.

@@rookie4582no. The best way to climb is to watch pros/high elo one tricks and mimic exactly what they do. Nobody does this, still.

The player base in general gets better every year. A D1 player of S1 is like G4 in S13

even if that's the plan, wouldn't walking on the north-side of the wall make more sense? sure, there's a risk that they might see you coming but you don't waste one of your abilities & are in a better position to react, should something change.

@@crazys89 honestly its not even that. If you go the long way and they back, then if poppy didn't follow, then you are solo or if they are out of range, then you wasted time. Moving towards the tower as a whole is a best bet to minimize distance between you and poppy. Then grab an assist when poppy dies and maybe a plate.

thats why any MOBA game needs a voice chat. but riot gays are too pussy and insecure for that decision

@@alexnewsome5111 with them as low as they are you can probably solo kill both if they contest krugs or take a risky recall. If they greed under tower you can dive them from behind to cut them off If they just run then you get to steal krugs and possibly red buff while poppy takes plates. Sylas was on blue so its hard to say if red is up at this point but it’s certainly possible. If you manage to steal that then you have level 6 advantage over kayn on the recall timing. Seems like a good way to push your advantage to me.

Turret plate gold is a huge bonus and opening up the first turret allows you to take control of the enemy topside jungle easier to further progress your lead. This puts the enemy jungler behind even more, It also works as a deterrent for the jungler to even come top at all as they will have no camps to clear.

if you have easy dives and you're against a late game champ, you can play to starve the opponent by keeping the turret up, but there are many things to consider. If turret plates are still up, you can take the turret most of the times and get a powerspike

Tbh ur probably right. Most gold players aren't thinking about wave states and how they can bait their opponent into losing xp. Especially yone players

agree we have 0 info to make a decision, plus we don't see kayn cs so we can't even know if krugs are up or not, all around a really bad example

@@SwissFenyx True, I think of it as a bucket full of crabs, you don't have to cover the bucket to keep them in all the crabs pull each other back down as they try an climb out.

@@nikusha432 which games did u play outside of LoL before? Which mentality u have? How good u are at understanding things? How many rank games per sesson do u played? Tell me that and i will tell u why low elo exists.

Same I m completely stuck 4 bots/trolls in my team and 5 bots/trolls in enemy team There is no way I win that.

I still know when i got pinged even i didnt saw it. Its a mental problem to coping wirh and its every game a challenge but like i said some orher one. Its ok to Surfer also u find back to urself.

I hear there's alot of bots (yuumi bots) down in bronze iron.

@@TheKittyClink it’s terrible. I lose games mostly from just having bots alone. Once had a game with an Annie Jungle and Yuumi bot. It’s horrendous at the bottom of the barrel.

@@ShadicXCIV maybe concentrate on champions that can push lanes. Most players in that elo don't know how to react to split pushers. Just focus in pushing lan top. I'm not saying it will work latter ranks but that is how I got out.

Go mid n react to every skirmish. They give out kills like candy on Halloween. Starting off the season I'll Riven mid for the mobility and just run the map until I'm gold 😂

Back in season 6 I was bronze, I watched a lot of content and it took me 1000 games focusing on improving in order to finally get out. I've been in gold ever since but i don't really play much after getting gold rank.

Same for me here. Im an Ahri Otp and its very difficult. I even abandon my Champion for a few games. Sometimes the game is winnable and these 4 mates just surrender. I Was ülat promo zwoce and like 25 times one win before that. Was last season plat but this season seems impossible. What a good thing can be though is the time when you play. Night is not good. You should play qt like 11-15

If you won so hard, when they are pushing your tier 1 top, you can rotate and kill them.

@@freshie94 Yeah if he's so fed he can just kill whoever comes top side so they'd have to match him with multiple people giving his team a number advantage.

@@mrocto329 But he cannot be at drake and top at the same time. Maybe he has ignite or tp on cooldown or enemy just timed it well. It sucks

Tbf, because of people I feel semi-pressured to play support, because on EUNE there are so many people who think that supp does nothing in the game, because people here still live in season 3 in their heads. That role has incredible power throughout whole match, however on the other side it's incredibly boring. I will never understand how it's easier for somebody to play Akali and 1v5 whole team, yet the same person is unable to play the easiest role properly for one match, whether on purpose or not.

Probably your approach to the game was different. I recognized my skill differs from day to day, sometimes i play better and sometimes i don't.

@@Forga19 The ranked system just punishes you for winning or climbing. Its just all made to counter smurfs and thats it lol. Always win streak, loss streak, repeat

@@Forga19 18 losses in a row seems a lot but it's better for Riot if u play a lot, so 33% of ur games are autowin but can still be lost if u troll, 33% autolose but can still be won if u hardcarry, and 33% are where u matter if u have 500 games per season, 18 losses in a row isn't that much, if u play 500 games u'll reach ur peak elo

They killed dragon 2 and a half minute after it spawned. He could have pinged his tp cd to communicate he wanted to join the fight to secure drake or keep pressuring top to keep karma and riven here while he gets his cd back. Second drake never is a 5v5 teamfight on spawn, both teams wait for an opportunity to get a number advantage and secure the drake.

@@raphaelnej8387 The thing is he is the reason the 2v2 mid disengaged, his pressure was enough for them to stop fighting. If he sat top with riven his team would be on a bad 4v4 bot side, maybe even 3v4 or 2v4.

Nonsense You will obviously end up with the wrong conclusion if you keep bringing ifs. The reality is that every decision you make in life is probability based. Same applies for league of legends, with the bonus added that your rank reflects the quality of you decision. Do you really need further explanation of why wondering around on the map without getting anything done is beyond trash? Gold players obviously have trust issues. That doesn’t mean not trusting your mates will make them climb.

@@raphaelnej8387 and you're doing hindsight analysis by bringing up that drake fell 2.5 min after it spawned. There was no way of knowing when they would take it. And staying top, giving them a numbers advantage botside IS, without any ifs, a good trigger for starting drake.

Game is the same in plat 4 and gold. Chances are if ur hardstuck p4 you are gold mmr

I had a 78% wr 100 games with fizz only. When I got to gold it's now 72%. Gold 1 rn, if I keep going I can get Plat then quit (my goal is to get to plat then quit league of legends)

Yes, it teaches you that you don't wanna be as bad as the players below you.

diamond is not as good as u think and also at NA similar to platnum at other regions. I know Master player which struggle with themselves but they didnt ask like "should i look this". Just do it. U cant learn enough.

As a master player, I still can end up lost like this sett player, especially since my champ (garen), whatever the lead, gets kited to death. I also sometimes wonder if I should do like baus (high elo player) and run from bot to nash when my team dies before I can take anything botlane.

Ur just bad unfortunately. Stop focusing on your teammates and just climb yourself. If its too hard get a duo. Theres no excuse to not winning if u duo in gold even if ur solo laner random goes 0/10. The game is so focused on throwing leads now its super easy to win if ur smart

@@SnoopyGolf mate… I’ve ended every season in plat or diamond since S5, what are you on about? Also duoing isn’t a solution unless it is done in a specific way. The problem is that right now is still the start of the season, and the ranks aren’t yet balanced. This isn’t the same as playing in gold, say, in mid February or March.
