you could add another similar triangle below this triangle and then find the area through 2s=1/2*AC²*sin2o sin2o=2s/0.5*AC² sin2o=4/8=1/2 2o=30° o=15°

Very enlightening thank you. A word of caution about language use: When you are referring to a division you say x by y, but English-speaking people would usually say x OVER y. x BY y would normally refer to x multiplied by y. It's not a problem when there is a video to show this, but might be a problem without. I have noticed this with some other mathematicians who don't have English as a first language, so I assume that you are translating literally from your first language.

From Pythagorean identity we have first equation From formula for area of right triangle we have second equation and all we need to do is solve system of equations a^2+b^2 = 16 1/2ab = 2 Then calculate the ratio AB/AC Are there two possibilities ? In my opinion there are two possibilities 15 degrees or 75 degrees

Another method is to draw a reflection of the triangle along the line BC, so we have the area of both triangles is 4. i.e 4.4sin2theta=4, solve for theta

Excellent idea!! But I think you meant that the area of the resultant double-triangle is: Area(∆AA'C) = (1/2)(AC)(A'C)sin(⦟ACA') 2 + 2 = (1/2)(4)(4)sin(2θ) 4 = 8 sin(2θ) ... etc... (You were just missing the "1/2", that's all.) Note on notation: A' is the reflection of point A across line(BC).

@@timeonly1401 Yes. Maybe you can extend this video to include this method.

Solved directly for one of the sides and then directly took the acos. But in this case, i see that taking the square of that cos expression makes it easier (without calculator) to solve for the angle.

🙏Sir, Thank you for the video! video time 12.46- Sir, does not the step sin(45+30) look very manipulative? Thanks again!
