12:09 first time a fox died on one of my lots was during a wedding. my cottage living legacy heir was getting married on their family farm, and suddenly my camera jerks off to the side. i didn't realize why, i just thought i clicked something by accident, so i went back to the wedding-- only to notice grim floating by in the background. needless to say, they befriended him, and he is in all of their wedding photos.

You need to make a tier list over the best get rich quick schemes in the sims! It would be a good way to look back at your older videos in this series and gives us a better over view over the best paying activities in the game

you can send your bees out to get stuff, like the dust bunnies. it'd be cool to see how much you make from just the stuff they find on top of how much you make from honey

I'm surprised you didn't mention you can put honey in the fizzing machine to make honey fizz, or you can bake a honey cake, or with the tea brewer you can make Bee tea, or even that you could use the beeswax to make candles. There are plenty of ways to make money with bees.

Tiny Homes do affect the relationship with bees, as well as the Friend of the Animals aspiration (from Cats & Dogs) bonus trait of Animal Affection which will give a boosted friendship level upon interacting with each of the bee boxes for the first time (aka "meeting" them).

I've noticed people coming onto my lot and doing things like planting and knocking over my trash can since the trait update. I know they're usually mean or evil when they kick my trash can but I'm not sure what traits lead to the free gardening.

I was once stung by a bee when I was jogging out in the fields and I wasn't sure if I was beginning to be lightheaded from exhaustion or because I was allergic to them so I rushed back home cause I wasn't very fond at the thought of falling unconscious and dying out in the middle of nowhere where no one knew where to look for me xD turned out I wasn't allergic, just paranoid 🙈 thanks for listening to my short life story

I always do bees along with the garden because all the plants within a certain number of squares around the bee box improve faster... plus you get the honey. Between the honey and eating the cheaper produce instead of cooking all the time you can survive pretty cheaply... plus eating fresh produce and honey both give good buffs....and talking to them helps social. So if you're do8ngvrags to Riches the bees can definitely be a help.

I appreciate your love/hate relationship with bees. I love them as they are, I just don't want them anywhere near me. We found out I was allergic to bees when I was 3. My family went to the local amusement park and when my dad went up to the soda fountain (which was inside a barn-like structure so much if it was open with no walls) to get refills and carried me with him, there was a trash can with bees inside that my dad sat me on a counter next to, and there was a bee he sat me on that stung me. Almost immediately had to take me to the hospital. First and only sting, but forever lasting fear

Someone you have to redo this and do the send to fetch gift with the swarm to give bees their full shot at rags to riches. Also it's like a free idea for a video one day when you just need one. In the future if you need more ideas maybe you could use Stanley to try the making a million coins scenario as a mini series? I think I might make my own stanley-esque sim to try to reach 1mil without cheating

Yeah, the only time I was "stung" by a bee was when I was in 6th grade, and a 5th grade boy killed a bee (on accident) when he swung his baseball bat, so he took the dead bee and put it on my head, and when I went to get it off my head I accidentally grabbed it by the stinger...what an ancient memory you unearthed today 😅

If you collect the swarm you can ask the bees to fetch gifts for you as well by clicking on then in your inventory

Two things to remember with bees: - The bee keeping suit prevents you from getting stung, and makes you immune to the hot and cold temperatures - Crocus scented flower arrangements will keep the bees calm, so always keep one next to them. They will only last you 2-3 days, but it is worth it.

I haven’t played in a while but I’m pretty sure you get wedding gifts, maybe “Can you get rich off of wedding gifts?” Or maybe the gifts you get from doing the social events?

I remember one time I had a sim in a Rags-To-Riches challenge who had a job as a scientist and she harvested carrots from her job. After work she put the carrots in the back yard, planning to not plant them so that she can make food syrup. Then my sim invited a teenage friend of hers and that friend ,without doing anything else, went to the back yard and planted half of her carrots. I hurried to put the rest in my inventory. So I can understand the struggle with having plant-able food items outside while having visitors; Invited or not.

The unexpected Fox funeral was a wild ride

I stepped bare-footed on a yellow jacket wasp when I was a little kid. It'd died on the backdoor mat, and I was heading inside after having oodles only fun playing outside. The stinger got between my toes as well. That was a terrible day for me.

"Now they all have mites, it came out of nowhere." That is exactly how that works. Everyone who has a lot of exotic pets SHUDDERS at the mere thought of mites lmao.

Bees get irritated as mites are growing, they are also more likely to sting you. They get enraged when the mites are here. You can also collect the swarm and have them go fetch a gift. You don’t have to bond with the bees if your friendship bar is full. Also, they do get your crops closer to evolving every day, so worth it for that.

I can’t honestly say that I didn’t see this coming but really I’m not surprised. Btw did you know that there is a mod pack I think for spiral staircases. What do you think about Simsie building a Mediterranean farmhouse.

in the spirit of you sharing your stories about how you got stung, here's one of my stories: i was maybe 7 or 8 at the time and a family friend took my sisters and me swimming. we later went to get some ice cream. i felt something on my lips and thought it was a fly so i slapped it in hopes to get it away. in a way it worked but turns out the 'fly' was actually a bee that then stung me right in my lip. i started crying and screaming and had to basically drink soup through a straw for about a week until i was able to eat again :) not my finest moment but definitely a memory that will forever be funny to me

I know this is an old video but i actually did a rags to riches only using bees before i even saw this video. If you do the collector aspiration at the same time there is a chance you can make a lot of money off them when you complete it. You can also send the bees out multiple times in a day to collect things and still make a decent amount of money depending on your luck. If you know all the ins and outs and tricks they can be a decent way to make money... If you don't mind being stung a lot that is lol. I did another one later where i used bees, birds, and rabbits the premise isn't much different then just bees but it did give different options of items.

I discovered from experiments that the honey quality is based on the variety of plants. I have a set of bees with only 5 different types of flowers, normal quality honey. Then I have a set of bees with the rest of my garden (15-20 kinds of plants), excellent quality. (For clarification, my sim has max relationship with both hives)

I like having hippie sims that use 3 bee boxes and make candles with the wax on the side. I use the yard sale table and jack the prices up as high as they'll go. That's a great way to make 💰 🤑 💸

I should take advantage of the bees in the game. I honestly forgot that existed and would definitely use it a lot. I've been doing the get rich scenario, but I've only been trying to get my sim to do so by getting famous and having a part-time job. So, I feel like this would help with trying to get some money for a tub or shower.

I think it would be amazing to see a ranking of all Can You Get Rich, considering how fast u make money, how easy it is (like, do you need to gain abiliity before getting good money, do u need to keep bonding w bees, etc) and how much it is lol

you also have to remember that the bees are dormant for winter so you just don’t have money for however long you have your seasons settings at if you use bees as your main money source

New idea (I haven't tested this to see if it actually will work though) Get a holiday decorations box and a selling table, keep searching for holiday decorations, then sell them for higher on the table. Or if not possible sell them in a store.

I think it could be fun to see how quickly Stanley can get rich being a content creator with the media desk from Get Famous ^_^ It might be really good when he can start advertising products with his fame too!

Do the bees only help the crops with cottage living (with its more farming aspects) or just in general? [ I have two kids from my legacy family -twins - that decided to live off the land as much as possible. They've got crops and a couple bee hives and insect boxes. One does flower arranging and the other one is supposed to be a fabricator but doesn't do it very well lol so she's more of the crops person. It's been really fun with them all their kids have had very well... hippy-ish names like Leaf, Elm, Pepper... last boy is named Dragon lol. I love it so much. Next generation I'm working with is one of the twin's twins and I plan on having them move from growing up on the farming community to living in an apartment to going (eventually) into this huge mansion. They're still in high school but one has sold three children's books and the other is a pretty good painter already. They'll make it lol. ]

I could do with more pet obsticles in the game. Like things you can interact with for pets to do tricks and actually perform and get money. Or even a new career as a stage magician; be the new Criss Angel in the Sims.

We have almost the same bee stories. The first time I got stung by a bee, was when one flew up my dress and stung me on the knee. And the second time, when I was a little older, was when I stepped on one at the park. Lol
