There's gonna be another video on Sunday which will be a bit more exiting but i just felt like recording today so here we are. If you liked the video at all please subscribe and as always leave a comment if you have any questions and I'll do my best to respond to you. Have a good one gents.

Yes, planning and acceptance. Accepting the limits of your 125 and ride it for what it is. I know a lot of guys who grew super resentful towards their bikes after doing some tours coz they have unrealistic expectations. The truth is, cyclists go on tour, and they can do less than 1 hp. Just ride at a comfortable speed that the machine can deliver, which in most cases is still well over the legal speed limit on the sign.

so true. i have done many cycle tours over the last 50 years, including a year through europe/north africa/israel and if you plan well dont need masses of luggage, in fact i always take just one saddlebag and regularly wash clothing like socks/undies, so travelling light is the key, staying at youth hostels and cheap pensions. It would be pointless (at least to me) to travel on dual carriageways and busy A roads - taking in the country on lanes is what it's all about, and now im a bit older/fatter/less fitter i'm going to get a 125 and hopefully have some laughs. Of course you can . I have a Honda S wing 125cc . It's fitted with a top box . It also has masses of underseat storage for touring . I have travelled all over England on it . I cruise about 60mph on motorways with no issues at all . The windscreen and big soft seat make it more comfortable . You just need to be careful crossing over motorway lanes but with care it's not a problem . The scooter is more comfortable than a naked bike for long journeys . Being able to change foot positions helps a lot . In short , don't knock it til you try it ....

Long range is not a problem with a 125cc bike. I made a trip from Germany to Greece with my 125cc scooter. You are limited with stuff you can take with you. I had a 55l military rucksack, a big wool blanket, a tarp, a sleeping mat and two 2l bottles with fuel. A good friend of mine made a trip from Germany to Portugal with his east german Simson 50cc scooter, he was 16 back then. Best wishes.

I have not long ( june 2022 ) done a Scottish trip on a Super Cub 125 2022, 1700 miles about 110mpg in a week from Reading to John O Groats and back using Motorways but mainly the A1 M and A68 to Scotland via Carter Bar. The Applecross pass was a doddle due to the lightness of the outfit barely getting over 20mph over the pass and the North Coast road was easier due to the slim and light bike being able to squeeze past the many cyclists on single track roads, The wind was a big issue as I did not have a screen fitted, small fuel tanks are also a potential problem ( mine has 3.6 ltr tank 3ltr useable ) but if you plan ahead and have a credit card most larger villages on the NC500 have fuel pumps which are card operated, I also carried a 2ltr spare can just in case. Please be aware most Scottish towns and villages now have a blanket 20 mph speed limit so watch out for the speed cameras and they are actively targeting bikes around Moffatt Peebles Selkirk loop with rear facing cameras. Undercover bikes and cars are also patrolling the NC500, I saw a white Golf TSI giving chase on the road to Wick from John O Groates with full blues strobing .

I passed mod1 n 2 for my A1 entitlement last October, and I have still not been on the motorway on my Honda cbf , in my opinion it's not the speed factor, it's the winds/cross winds which I don't like, and I think wind issue on bigger bikes travelling on motorway will be more or less the same, I think!!, but yes blowing or sucked away is a challenge on dual/motorway, remember Winds on the Motorway/dual carriage way don't spare Big Lorries never mind Bikes, Twisties are best for any bikes, which I did plenty and still does it👍nice video

Dual carriageway is easier if you take the emphasis off what's in front of you and place more on what's behind. To do that u need a good pair of mirrors, of which u have none. Also plan your trip to include some B roads where they run parallel and don't make your destinations so ambitious. The advantage of doing this is if the weather turns bad u can always take the duals which will get u there much quicker if need be.

I do long distance on 125 scooters, I’d recommend liquid cooled 4 valve engined 125s for long distance, it can be done on 2 valve air cooled but wouldn’t recommend, I own a Yamaha majesty s 125 scooter they use the same head and barrel as the MT and YZF, I also own a Peugeot citystar 125LC which has slightly more power and loads of storage space, I have a full license so use the motorways I stick to the inside and middle lanes, 👍🏻

Of course it can be done. Many Honda C90 owners have toured across whole countries including one or two round the world. The most important two things are 1) reliability and access to spare parts and 2) Ability to store luggage. For that reason scooters are often better than 125cc motorcycles because many of them have large under seat storage in addition to bags and panniers. You do not have to go via A roads and indeed it is more satisfying if you don't, but if you need to A roads are perfectly fine (when allowed). The Motorcycle press and manufacturers are always telling you 125cc is not enough. It's nonsense.

There is no reason why you can not tour on a 125 . I've recently bought a 2022 cbf125 ( older bike well serviced would be just as good ) after riding a pan European 1300 v4 honda . The 125 cruises at a realistic 55mph , so b roads best but I do quite a bit of motorway riding and have no problems given my limit of 60 or so in short bursts ( 55 mph is easily held ). Not to mention my pan could not do 130mpg ( and that's the average) . Ride safe everyone 👍

It´s all fine exept the Phone as Sat Nav Part. Take a Garmin it will save you a lot of unecessary miles because the route finding on google is an hot pot of garbage. Google is fine in close proximity but not long range and thats not even a small amount of miles. Depending on wich Route even on shorter ones it can be easy 40-50 miles on Top via Google. The rest is pure mentality. And don´t be afraid of Motorways. Take your given right to drive in the middle of the slower left or right lane depending in wich country you are riding. No one is Mental enough to Hit you from Behind and Ruin his car on purpose. Search yourself an nice truck, follow him in safe Distance and you can Safe a tiny bit of Fuel on Top. Under normal Circumstance you are even far from the limiter of your bike because Asphalt on Motorways is much faster than on other roads.

Depends on the 125 really. If you have a 1500 Chinese bike you-ll most likely either quit due to the pain or see it disintegrate. If you have a 5000+ bike you can go from Portugal to Russia without issues. The only difference between a 125cc and a 1200cc is speed and weight. Most roads don't even have speed limits over what a top 125cc can offer. So yes. You can if you have a proper bike.
