You guys are a pleasure to watch. Charlie is too darn cute…y’all are teaching the boys good work ethics and pride in what they are doing. I commend you guys for dedicating your lives to helping these horses and other animals as well. Kudos to you both!

The Cinderella story was nicely told. I’ve had horses for over 50 years and have lost a few, just this past September I lost a sweet old horse. I know how hard it is, but you gave her a wonderful life and lots of love. She very much deserved it. Thank you for what you are doing.

Loved watching Eperlan and Little Liv behaving like mischievous little rascals. I do so love “our” little chats. So cute to see Oskar grab hold of Daddy Moon’s hand to keep it still 😂 and then when he finished his milk sit right up and look Daddy Moon in the face. Old chest freezers to keep all feeds safe and dry worked for us for many years.

Oscar Robin is growing so fast. I love his little interactions with you all. Nick, those hangers for the horse blankets are a game changer. Great work, boys, on the gutter.❤

In the past I have cut a 4 inch plastic pipe in half and used it as a temporary gutter. It may be a quick fix to you can do a proper job. Just an idea. We are so glad to have found the magic Moons, you bring such joy to our lives!!

When I had a horse, I used an old refrigerator, laid down on its back, in the feed room. Just take out all the racks and drawers etc and you have an airtight, clean container. ( I used one of the drawers inside the freezer part just to have a separate small container). The beauty is, no critters can get inside, either. And if it has a separate freezer compartment, that can be used for your supplements,etc. It's an awesome way to repurpose an old appliance.

The best thing to use for feed bins is old chest freezers - you could put dividers inside. Just go to the tip and get them for free. I used them and were great stopped all mice and rats. X

Those two naughty horses enchanted us - as do all of you. ♥️

One tip we used for our horse feed and animal feed, is that we pick up some huge chest freezers OR upright refrigerator/freezer that can be used for storage. Prop them up off the ground with some foundation blocks. The refrigerator freezer can be laid on its back and you can open and close on top. I am sure some of the things can be picked up OR you can ask the guys at the tip to give you a shout out when someone is throwing out a chest freezer or refrigerator/upright freezer. I'm sure it's free for the taking! Eventually you can get a proper feed hopper bins in the future when your finances are able. Mice and rats can't get inside of the containers. I enjoyed the video!

You are able to settle in after 8 years now, that is a wonderful thing. Your property from what I can see should be big enough to handle the Legends and some more babies too. I love that Little Liv has the freedom to do what she wanted with no angry consequences, and of course Epilan went with his wife. Maybe you could use pins with all the rainbow colours on their heads for your world map markers. Midsummer in New Zealand, they've opened the fridge door down in Antarctica, and there was snow in the lower South Island. We only just had a 33C day! 😮

If you make wooden feed bins, you can line them with sheets of galvanized steel (food safe).

All the rain is going to make the grass grow. It's so nice to get those little jobs done, it makes a difference. I get that metal containers are the best, little critters can eat through plastic and wood then you are redoing it all over again. Well done for getting the rug rack up, I'm sure there will be many years of use left in them. Perhaps a stable door would be good for the feed room? You could keep the bottom half closed and the top half open for the birds. Just a suggestion. Keep going strong Moon family. 🙂

The rug rack is one of the best things we bought.

Hi in our area of france we cut heart shapes in the doors of barns for the swallows when they come for the summer. Less than 10 km away they cut diamonds, clubs and spades from playing cards. Big hugs from the haute saone (70). Keep up the magic thst you do !!!

I was very active for most of my life, suffered a few injuries over the years. Now in my 60's my body reminds me of how much fun I used to have. I lost my magnetic blanket during a move and miss it very much (they are terribly expensive) I still use magnetic fingerless gloves, elbow, knee and ankle braces when I have flare ups. Magnetic clothing is just the best thing ever invented - I also have a few magnetic pieces of jewellery that can be used in different ways. I broke many bones and injured muscles/tendons over the years I have a huge soft spot in my heart for Retired Athletic Horses, you take such good care of them - they couldn't be better loved or cared for. Their running around in the fields and making escapes to have a walk about is proof of their excellent care and the Magic that surrounds them! I'm so impressed with their grace at an old age - Their elite training and lifestyle is still obvious.

Those naughty horses. Reminds me of when I was a child I volunteered to catch my Dads horse for him it was freezing cold and raining bucket loads. He conveniently didn’t tell me his horse is a one man horse and no one can catch him or get near him, but my Dad. The laughs were on me that morning 😂

I used large galvanized trash bins which lids could be secured. You could label each one for the intended horse.

Gosh is it ever raining over that side of the Ocean! There is one thing I love for sure in such Weather: the smell of Garlickbread, Cheese and a Hot Tomato Soup! and how practical, this Tool to hang up Horse'coats'!! ; ))

My grandson and I laughed and laughed when those naughty horses came back on their own looking rather sheepish and, when you spoke to them, turned their heads away. Looked a lot like an eight-year-old boy who has crossed a line! Love your videos, Jenny.

Nick, seeing Mommy Moon using the top of the washing machine as a kitchen counter made me think that, if you are going to stay, a little kitchen remodel work should be on a list somewhere. Of course the horses come first but let's keep their super wonderful groom happy and relaxed.
