This music really makes everything mysterious, epic and works with everything. I literally had an idea of this music over this scene and now next day I got recommendation of this video... Coincidence? I think not

This goes hard for sure... But how tf did Maverick not get vaporized as soon as that Dark Star exploded? Him surviving that at a high fraction of orbital velocity was unbelievable.

Ludwig Göransson is definitely one of the most underrated composers out there. He's definitely up there with Hans Zimmer and John William, or at least close to them. The pieces he makes are phenomenal.

The music. Phenomenal. You can hear the music like a racing heartbeat, swelling as you approach the forbidden goal until you hit it. And then… silence. Flatline. And the plane? It’s glorious. Like the SR-71, B2 and Concorde had a child.

I would never have thought that this composition from Oppenheimer would so succinctly fit into the flight of a Darkstar. this increasing tempo of the music fit perfectly with the increasing speed of the plane. It's so cool!

I miss being a little kid and hearing my Grandpa tell stories about working at Lockheed Martin, watching the fastest aircraft the world had ever seen pass overhead off his back porch every night as they took off from Edwards and shook the sky like roaring dragons. Plant 42 and Edwards Air force base were all a stone's throw from his house. He has stories of going hunting up in the mountains and getting floored in fear by the sonic booms of jets passing overhead and breaking protocol just to break the sound barriers. My grandma always told me whenever you see footage of UFOs to never assume they were aliens or instrument anomalies and always understand that government contractors have equipment and technology that would blow your mind if you could actually see it in person.

something I have yet to comprehend is how that when something accelerates like the dark star there is a limit. However think about Star Trek for a second where most ships in the that universe can forever accelerate because of the warp drive. Conext: The warp drive works by annihilating matter (in the form of deuterium, a kind of hydrogen gas) and antimatter in a fusion reaction mediated by dilithium crystals. This produces the enormous power required to warp space-time and drive the ship faster than light. However Star Trek is not real life. But imagine us the human race, being able to achieve this impossible feat. Imagine the dark star not stopping at mach 10 but Pulling the space from in front of it and exerting that space behind it every second constantly making the dark star faster and faster... forever accelerating the craft. That is what I have trouble trying comprehend. Sorry if that was way too long but for the chads out there who read this thank you and reply if you agree. :)
