@@Hihello_whatareyoudoinghere It's extremely easy to get it. It's tedious, but there is a fast method with 1 monster encounter/trip and one where you just have to leave the tem shop. As we all know, we can stell stuffs to tem. If you wanna be fast with your gold earnings, stack up with cloudy glasses from gerson (30G per piece) and sell it for a profit (50G per piece, 65G if the "WhOA!" dialogue box pops up and you refuse to sell at first but buy it the 2nd offer). Just spare the enemies you encounter on the way for 30 more G, often quicker than fleeing, but for temmie you can only flee or kill, you should just flee tbh. The other way is by going to the piano, play the song, get the dog residue, and then ust keep using it to fill your inventory up with dog residue and the occasional dog salad. OThis is actually quite a lot slower since dog salad sells only for 8G (13G heckled), and dog residue goes from 4-1G (8-4G if heckled), and even with 7 dog salads and 2 heckle chances, you'd only profit 74G, compared to the minimum 80G from 8 cloudy glasses with no heckles. Certainly slower, you'll average somewhere around 30G profit per shop entry, good if you like mashing the same buttons constantly.
Tip I found for grinding money at start of game. In the room in Ruins with the six cracks on the ground (the room you find faded ribbon) there are two vegetoids. Battle and spare or devour them (not kill) and exit that room then enter again. The two vegetoids keep spawning and spawning giving 5 gold each time they are spared or devoured. Takes ages but it's a good way to stock up on gold right from the beginning
I want to tell 2 things : First, if you have enough gold for the "fried snow" he will say that it's a lot of money. Second, if you buy something from the spiders at the ruins, and something at the one at hotland, well, at the muffet boss fight : After the tear legs apart sentence, she will say : However... That can't be true can it? You donated so much money to us. The spiders want you to know how grateful they are! And there will be no boss fight. Well, hope y'all find this interesting!
Sans doesn’t say that that’s a lot of money, he says he doesn’t actually have fried snow Edit; Nevermind he says the snow has too much sentimental value
you dont need to buy it from hotlands too, but that counts. you can buy it from just ruins but keep it with you up until muffet to skip it (or buy it from hotland for 9999g to skip it)
Damn, I was just gonna ask in the comments what happened if you had enough money to buy Muffets doughnut, but what do you get? A regular spider doughnut? And what happens if you get the croissant? Is there an item?
Spoilers: He’s the royal judge, I’d think that would pay pretty good. Besides unless I missed something Papyrus doesn’t have a job. He trains to become a guard yes but that doesn’t get him any money. So Sans has enough money to at least rent a two story house.
the fact that people still make good undertale tests/videos fills you with determination Edit: i was an undertale fan 5 MONTHS AGO??? it felt like 2 years
Sans isnt surprised by the amount of gold, just because he gets highly paid from being a "lookout" for snowdin. as this is a very important job, he must get paid highly... So in conclusion: he's richer than you think.
@@numnym1476 and I also think someone said when talking about Sans that laziness in todays society is just the world wronging us for making this less efficient for them but what people perceive as lazy actually benefits us. and I can't disagree with that! Sans is making up for his low HP by sleeping so it's above max and he is also very responsible (besides not actually making sure you don't die like he promised)
@Num Nym @Seacumber number I couldn’t agree more! I think that In this society, everybody is insecure about “being lazy.” Because it tells us that we just always need to be “on the grind”. But not everyone is the same. and in Sans’ case, he’s gotta be way more careful then everyone else.
can any enemy scripted to die in one hit survive 0 dmg? (ex. Pap & Tori on “genocide/after most spare conditions are met and are sparable, but catching them off-guard”) (this should be like your mtt neo vid)
depends how they were made. if the enemy is set to have 0 hp but the damage checks only occur after an attack, then it will die anyway. but if its set to 1 hp then it won't
@@jackawaka as far as i know, the game sets the damage you make to a multiplication of multiple factors, including the character's current health I do not posses the knowledge of what it does after the fatal blow is made, but i do know that it takes into account the current HP of the enemy. Which means that if the amount of HP was 0, then the amount of damage shown you made would be 0 too
what the genocide/offguard attacks do is setting their defense into negative thousands, so with negative attack you could hurt them without them dying, however, this causes (with the testing i did for toriel) the game to change to the neutral route
It makes sense that Sans doesn’t have money but still buys things and puts the bills on his tab, because he knows that if everything resets, then he won’t have that debt anymore. At least he’s seeing the bright side of the constant existential dread that is being stuck in a time loop that repeats infinitely, without knowing when anything is going to start over.
There's only 3 outcomes in that dialogue, 1No, 2Yes but not enough money, 3Yes with enough money. I don't think it's too hard for the devs to spare a little effort to give a unique dialogue for the 3rd possibility.
I feel like Sans is the record holder in the underground for having the most expensive tab in a restaurant. Sounds like something he’d a hundred percent dedicate to.
It's honestly surprising these types off videos are still coming out. So many people have tried to find so many different outcomes like these in undertale so I didn't think there would be anything left to try.
I imagined he'd say: "wow. that's a lot of moolah. but, uh, that's actually my tab, not the cost. i was jokin'. speaking of my tab..." and then he'd just proceed like normal.
I had the same question a few years ago when I played the game, but I didn't know how to cheat gold into my inventory. So instead I spent a week or so grinding in Snowdin to make enough gold. It was not worth it.
Taking in the fact that Gaster has real stats in the code, what happens if you try to spawn Gaster in a fight, or at the very least what happens when a monster has the same stats as Gaster
@@miamiartz240 i have played undertale for WAY TOO LONG his limbs dont randomly fall, because when you hit his "heart" with your yellow heart's pew-pews enough (when his "heart" spews out electricity) his arms will detach, then his legs
He was definitely playing with Frisk, the actual amount was probably less than 1000G and thats why he still put it onto his tab otherwise Frisk would have accidentally spent 10000G for no reason
He won't let the kid give him money until you reach the 'dog stand... and then if you keep buying them he gives you them for free. For a guy who's dedicated to that skelegrind to the point of selling toilet paper tickets, he's very generous.
I know this doesn’t have anything to do with the vid but I just found out that after the date with alphys, if you go to Napstablooks house and play one of his cd’s and leave, you’ll get an encounter where both enemies don’t fight and talk about how bad the music is, I can’t be the only one who didn’t know about this right… right..?
what would happen if you are able to kill Flowey from the beginning of the game I would imagine toriel just enters the room and finds frisk over a crumpled flower but- y e a h though i do love your videos and how you edit them lol
Literally nothing. It's scripted, you can't even mod it to do anything without completely rewriting that section. Flowery would be gone just as if toriel sniped him herself.
so toby fox made a contingency for if you buy something at the hotland bake sale (skip muffet) and if you somehow have enough g for fried snow, but not if you can foot the bill here?
First thing I wanna ask, is this an animation? Not trying to be rude or anything, but the smooth editing seems like it. If it's not, you have a super good editor!/you are a really good animator!
I always thought Sans’ “I was going to say something but I forgot” line was the placeholder for this event. Like if you did have the money, even though he had said just kidding, he’d turn around at the door and be like “by the way... ...heh...where’d you get that kind of money, anyway? ...Nah, maybe it isnt my business. But I gotta say, sentry duty sure isnt enough to roll out that kinda dough.”
mettaton congratulate you for completing the puzzle but he remembers the green floors rule and fights you, it can happen without changing the game, it just needs a lot of skill
What would be better is if he had a reaction to you saying "No" while having enough money to pay. Calling you out for being a cheapskate, or something.
I hope if theres another super expensive thing like this in deltarune, they would make it you could pay. of course with either so much grinding, or through your methods.
Ya know, I like Undertale but hate it's community, but this channel is really making me think there's a silver lining somewhere in the community, so thanks for that
After all these years of waiting for someone to do this properly. It finally happened. But . . . I still don't get it. What did Sans mean by the "joke" at the end?
