Can you play Minecraft without crafting anything? 

The other Minecrafters I watch are making videos with pro pvp, big brain coded challenges and epic redstone pranks and junk, but this man-on-a-mission is attempting a challenge that requires none of that, and doesn’t even know when he’s drowning or the value of an enchanted golden apple. We must protect him at all costs.

Kevin never realizing that if he doesn't make friends with the villagers he will not have access to things that he can't obtain himself due to his challenge (Animal goods as a pacifist, Raw materials as a non-miner, and Crafted goods a non-crafter) is hilarious yet upsetting every time.

If Kevin ever decides to do more of this here are some tips to help :3 -Villagers are your friends in this. You can trade with them items you wouldn’t be able to craft (like Diamond weapons and armor) -Try to find a fletcher, they’ll give you emeralds for sticks, you can get the sticks by breaking dead bushes, they’ll occasionally drop sticks -You can also get food from them, Golden carrots you can get from farming villagers and they provide the best saturation. Until then potatoes can sustain you since you can just cook them in a furnace or smoker

I would love a series where you had to switch between only crafting and only mining each episode, mining episodes would be like an episode of horders while you gather a bunch of stuff for the crafting episodes and crafting episodes would be so chill, maybe even a song or two or a q and a thrown in there.

This is sorta feeling a lot like the last one. Super exploration focused. I feel like this is more suited to a conservative playstyle. Stay in one place, farm. Using tools is unsustainable, so build with dirt. Eventually it turns into a trading game. Once you have a source of tradable goods, buying tools is easy.

Funnily enough, when I first played Minecraft (back when I was 12 and you couldn't stack pieces of beef) I did not know you could craft. I had never seen anyone play it and I only knew of it because I found it on my cousins computer. I legit thought the game was just breaking and placing blocks. My world was a dirt tower XD

I mess with keybinds a lot but if I'm not mistaken, Kev, you can double click on something in a chest or in your inventory and it'll group everything together so you don't have to individually click every object into your inventory. (For example, in the mineshaft chests with rails, double click one of the rails and all the rails will group together.) Might make it a bit quicker/easier for you.

Can we talk about the editing of Kevin sounding underwater for less than a second when he jumped off the cliff?

5:12 It's like that one rule in movie making where once something is subconsciously introduced it has to be used later. It's just a shame that Kevin didn't get to explore more of that lush cave after finding one for the first time.

Crazy mod idea for a challenge run: Every day you swap between "can't craft" and "can't mine." You have to plan your days and exploration based around each one. IDK it might lead to a lot of downtime spent waiting for the day to change but it could be interesting to watch.

I've actually played Minecraft like this before! It wasn't a strict "challenge" sort of thing though; I was just pretending I was a roaming bandit and I just stole things and burned down villages that I'd finished robbing. It was more fun than it should be lol

Yes please!!! You can break bamboo and collect sticks to trade to a fletcher villager for emeralds. Collect A LOT of emeralds and buy a bunch of axes. A pickaxe trade should unlock.

I've been loving your minecraft videos so much I've binged through all of them! Also TIP!! You need to have your hands be empty to both trade w/villagers and interact with certain mobs like pets when you have them sit/stand!
