Today we answer the age old question, can you plow with a half ton? There are many options to choose from including the Ford F150, Ram 1500, GMC Sierra 1500 and the Chevy Silverado 1500 in the half ton class. But can these trucks stand up to the toughest conditions of plowing snow?

You can buy ball joints etc keep a eye on them

Once they sell you on needing a 3/4 ton, next they will sell you on how you need a V-Plow. Almost like they want to price start-ups out of the industry. Personally I use a 3/4 ton as it suits my needs for landscaping, but I for residential I think a 2 door short bed half ton would give great maneuverability.

Your F150 came with the snowplow prep package, didn't think that was possible? So, it has the bigger amp alternator and upfitter switches? Good video and channel.

Yes! So the plow package does come with a bigger alternator, heavier front springs, rear defrost and a few other options but unfortunately the upfitter switches are extra. I used the Auxbeam 6 gang switch panel for my lights.
