Damp rag, and an hot iron Warm water will losen the creases and the hot Iron will remold and dry it flat. Afterwards put in a book and leave for 2-5 months. I tried it with ole 80s baseball cards. Seems to work. Fyi, make sure to damp the whole card evenly. With the rag on top, when doing the iron press. Let me know if you decide to try it out
Is there a way to smooth out creases in the foil of a vintage Pokémon card? I have a dark Dragonite that looks like it was shuffled too hard when being played in the previous owner’s deck.
I'm sure there are ways, I just not have found a way I am comfortable with. I have had people tell me to use moisture, and steam irons, but I have not tried it yet. I tend to shy away from techniques that may have issues in the future. Eventually I'll try moisture options, just have not yet.
I know gaming cards are thinner that traditional cards, so it might do more. the main problem is chipping of the art. only way to know is to try. Just try on cheap cards fist.
I have a base set Charizard that I think is warped. When laying flat the sides lift up ever so slightly, but enough to notice. Does anyone know if this technique would help fix this issue?
Hey man, i have a card that has a bit of separation at the top edge, i dont know whats the right term since im new to the hobby, but the foil from the front is kinda separated from the back of the card, if that makes sense, its just a bit but its not a cheap card, so i wanted to ask if there is a solution to this before going thru all your videos
I know of no way to fix that problem without it being considered a restored card. You could try heat pressing, see if the adhesive will reseal, just be careful to not overheat the card.
Yeah i actually saw it done on a Matchbox Car. The corner had a bad crease where it was wrinkled and he used his finger to dab water on the area on both sides and then used an iron tp iron it out and the crease was completely gone. But thay cardboard is thicker than a baseball card so that could have been a factor but ill be looking forward to see how it comes out in your vid.
I got the one in the video through an ebay auction. I do not have the paperwork on it at this point, if you are wanting one, just make sure the seller and product has positive reviews, and allows returns.
Bozo he supposed to use an iron you put the card over a damp piece of computer paper on the top and on the bottom of a card you get the iron put a terry cloth on the iron but the steam on high on the iron put it on high wait till it starts demon press it once steam it again just let it sit there for five seconds. And i put FANGEEK toi SHAME>>>>>>>>>>>
This video was about pressing out creases, not moisture and ironing a card. I recorded this to show the results of just straight pressing a card to see if it will remove creases. when, or if, I go to try moisture, that will be a different video.
