I made a hypothesis in my community posts that X8 for 3D mode could possibly be significantly better. The trick here, however, would be that the motors blow on each other when idling and only when the FC wants, they work together so that they give trust in same direction... Since an motor is already turning properly when idling, this could accelerate the change in direction of rotation for 3D mode flying...

@@gnosisfpv Sbang is a derivative of juicy flying. Sbang has the fundamentals of juicy, except it is much more aggressive. The word "Sbang" doesn't actually mean anything either - it's an onomatopoeia that @Farouk FPV came up with. It describes the sound made by a quad when snapping inverted.... but now it's a class of style. Hope that clears it up 😉

Man I think all the x8 needs is a tune that’s complimentary to sbang. You do it exceptionally on the 5 inch. Heck I can’t even do it with a 5 inch lol I’m trying to figure it out and can’t really do anything resembling it so your killing it if your just learning it lol. Oh the first song was absolute fire and perfect for the flight. Killer as always bubby

I feel like you would almost want to invent a new style with super-high yaw rates. I doubt (?) that you have high-enough yaw rate to really take advantage of the 8-motor yaw ability. Think about rubics-cube style flying with high pitch and roll, but now apply that to the yaw axis. What would super-fast yaw moves look like? That said, I'm speculating :-). I have no idea if the quad as-is will open up new possibilities. Maybe? :-)

To get rid of the stuck in second gear feeling you get with an x8. Run a more aggressive pitch on the bottom motors. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about the insane amp draw. 8 motors are just too much for the smaller 1300-1800 mah packs....If you wan a much smoother flight for better cinematics run the GEMFAN 51444 quad blades and it's uber smooth. I run mine on stock 4.3 tune, no gyroflow and no electronic stabilization. I can get about 5 min with an 1800mah 6s 120c.
