Can You Sell at 50% Gross Profit in Your Area?

What if the cost of material is far greater then the labor cost? For instance, If i purchase a $8000 entry door, cost to me. I would charge the customer 16000 for the door?

How does that work for smaller companies that pay more for their material compared to the larger companies that get their material cheaper?
