Should I refund my airsoft RipCord M4 bc it doesn’t have any side or under rails so I’m asking you bc I thought you would know it was 180$ so I need a gun under or that same exact price do you have a preference on a REALLY GOOD primary
Well that’s just sad. If your community need videos explaining that fully sealed plastic is better for protection than open holed plastic then maybe you guys shouldn’t be messing with things capable of injuring you lol
If you wear eye protection to an airsoft game your a wimp 😹💪😎😎🥱🤣 lemme guess you also bought a $200 plate carrier vest 😂😂 keep hiding behind your safety gear cuz u can't handle a hit 🦺👎👎👎
Back in my Airsoft days I picked up a mesh face mask thinking I can avoid the foggy lenses……test shot it before using it and 90% of the bbs made it through. Go with lenses, you’ll thank yourself
Seeing mesh users sends shivers down my spine as I imagine those sharp shrapnel fragments of BBs piercing my eyes, I have taken so many hits to the goggles and its scary, had to literally pat my face down and make sure I was ok after my life passed before my eyes, right after the BB passed before them
This is one of the reasons why you dont use those absolutely garbage bb's that come with gun or are in sale. Proper bb's should at worse snap in two if hit solid object, not shatter even with most powerful gun around and secondly if you are not absolutely certain your mask can take it, then you test it point blank with most powerful gun in the game. For me that would 170m/s sniper or revolver. Other than that mesh is viable option long as its made properly. Only issue is that one jackass that uses the cheap shit shattering bb's and wrecks you eyes, witch is why i always use ballistic eyewear and have full mask custom fitted to my face so there wont be damage and i have my spare eye wear with me to borrow or swap if main one gets damaged for some odd reason.
@@goonmonke I use eBay lower face mesh which is actually pretty comfortable and revision full seal goggles. The goggles do well against forg but in my climate (BC Canada) a bit of anti fog solution prevents it completely.
@@MinnesotaAirsoft what about cheap plastic goggles that you could buy at Walmart? The kind that your school would qualify as “eye protection” for wood-shop.
@@officerbt3347 Try to find something that is on the APEL or is ANSI rated. Eye protection is not something you should cheap out on. Saving $20 on eye pro is not worth losing an eye.
Mesh is great for jaw guards because it’s breathable and you can form it to your gun, but definitely NEVER use it for your eyes. Not only can the bbs sometimes penetrate the mesh, but it also does nothing to stop other debris, including chipped off paint, from gettin in your eyes. When I was younger (probably around 13-14) my friend had an Airsoft birthday and his mom rented a mask and a bb actually went threw the mask and the wire cut her forehead. Also a good reason why you should never use rented equipment haha
I’ve always found full seal protective eyewear + mesh lower face mask to be optimal. So much more ventilation on your face it’s a must have if ur in a hot area like SoCal
The US army uses full masks with anti-ballistic eye shielding. Not only is it more protective from direct hit, unlike mesh, small particles can't make it through a solid piece of polycarbonate (which is what their eye shields are made from).
There's a reason construction workers use ANSI z87 rated eyewear, and with plastic projectiles commonly shot at the head it'd make sense to have something that can stop most hazards.
I personally use mesh as I wear glasses and they fit up really bad with full seal. That being said when I do wear mesh I always have prescription safety eyewear on.
Those exact full seal goggles are the same ones my work used for our paintball program. When kids decided to go for the head, that visor damn well kept me safe
I completely agree that Good eye protection is most important thing in shooting hobbies. we actually had an incident where he accidently got hit in the eye ( accidentally) after his mesh mask gave up on him.
@@space_designs hes fine, fully recovered and still playing airsoft. But this time, hes using a JTFLEX 8. I guess he no longer taking any chances on his eyes haha
I used to wear mesh but it was a fencing mask. much stronger steel mesh that didn't deform and simple safety glasses underneath for the shrapnel. I preferred it for the field of view, breathability, comfort, and awesome neck protection built in
would you be able to test mesh with glasses underneath? I've never run that setup before, but I'd like to try it to reduce fogging. I probably wouldn't use it tho if it was too unsafe.
The main concern with the mesh is the bb's shattering and going through, the safety glasses underneath would probably stop those shards but you'll still get hit in the cheek and possibly mouth depending on the angle If the fog is bothering, I found that you can use anti fogging windshield wiper fluid, and apply that to your visor and that does decrease the build up in my experience edit: I just realized this comment is 2 months old, oops
@@MaximillionBucksAlso instead of the fluid you can look up anti fog visors for motorcycles. They will serve you the same purpose and they work great! On my motorcycle helmet I have put a cup of steaming hot water in the helmet and where the visor covered it had no issue with fog. Good luck!
Cheep ones yeh but you can get anti fog glass that's treated just don't wipe the inside with your fingers or the oil on the skin with ruin the fog protections
Full seal is a must for anyone who needs glasses all the time. Plus wire puts a solid object you cant see through all over your view and imo wire is just handicapping.
Could you break through industrial eye pro? Heya I have these goggles from when I was in welding classes, one year someone had a grinder disk explode on him, and a large fragment lodged itself in the goggles sparing his eyes with a centimeter to spare
@@charliemaybe then what's the point of running the safety glasses in the first place? Remember that you can't just adjust your glasses if ur wearing the mask, and if you take the mask off you might get shot in the face during that
Hey man I was wondering if you had any cheap recommendations for me I’m looking at starting into the games but my rifle my parents bought me broke and need a new one under like 120 at least idk
The best airsoft gun you could get for 120 or arround that, would be a pistol or high-capa. any rifle or shotgun for under 240 is usually a scam and low quality.
@@lavaking1113 I'm not sure about that I got a cyma AK for about 220 I think on Amazon (it was on sale in fairness, don't remember how much it actually was, looked back through and got it for 170) but it's held up great and even though it's mostly a hard abs it doesnt feel cheap and is sturdy. And shoots very nice with anything from .2 and up
You're the one who inspired me to get a Glock 17 Gen 4 blowback Airsoft pistol because I was watching your videos and I just looked at airsoft guns and they didn't inspired me so thank you for your work and keep up the good work
In the field I went to last, they allowed mesh and actually encouraged it to prevent fogging because of the colder weather. I found it so dumb as I'm sure as hell not risking get bb pieces in my eyes
This is why i would suggest getting the plastic or what they use from nc rated goggles and putting it on mesh for a Cooler effect but just use full seal easier
Honestly I’ve never understood why anyone would run mesh to begin with. Even if it doesn’t manage to get through there’s a high chance of the BB shattering and getting that stuff in your eyes.
ANSI is a standard rating and stuff. General eye protection should have an ANSI rating and it’ll tell you if it’s safe for a construction job site. If it can protect you from flying debris, it’ll stop a BB
