I've not watched the first parts of this collaboration (haven't had time), but just having time to sit through the first few minutes of this one, I am thoroughly fascinated. I have been struggling with my own magic system, and this perfume idea has gotten me excited about the possibilities. But, I need to go back and watch the other parts to get a clearer picture. Thank you all. 🥰

if i was making a system like this, i think i'd love the idea of each magical effect being sourceable from a plant and an animal, so one heating formula might come from a subarctic shrub, while another might come from a caribou(-like animal) ; of course, this would raise questions about the ethics around sourcing from animals vs plants, which our characters would grapple with -

My brain thinking of warcrimes induced by industrialization: a heat perfume concentrated so much and sprayed out of alarge container that acts like a flame thrower if people contact it. Alternative of combustive aerosol perfume as a poison gas equivalent. This also goes with the teme of perfumers also being poisoners based on concentration
