Can you SOLO the Hunt-A-Thon in Monster Hunter Now? 

Again, this feels like it all comes down to actually being able to farm enough mats to make multiple high grade weapons for the hunt a thon. And since I only got grade 5 Legi weapons, and I havent seen a Barrioth spawn since the urgent quest in the event line, I cant actually take on the 6 star with enough time. No idea how they think HR11 players are meant too. Its like the first diablos event all over again, niantic just isnt paying attention to the player base

I was a solo player only and farmed like mad. Despite that I do want to meet people and just play with them at least a few times to enjoy the multi player aspect. But the progress of the game is getting steeper and steeper for casual players. They are very important for the eco system of the game because the huge bulk of them are viewers for content creators, community discussion such as Discord and Reddit, and actually REAL people you see playing the game outside. Just these three days alone, I have seen zero real life players in Singapore even in city areas such as Cityhall MRT and Orchard. The Hunt-a-thorn nodes do have people nearby, but as I wait and check around there isn't anybody at all. At least in Black Diablos event popular biome tiles are very desirable and I still saw at least 10 people playing on foot. Niantic, please for the sake of the longevity of the game do something about it. It is a good game, but the design of a lot of the in game purchases and event mechanics is simply MEH.

The hunt-a-thin is damn hard.. I hav no luck with zinogre.. Been trying like more than 10 times since the 1st day.. Sad for us solo hunter

Doesn't matter if you can solo them, im able to solo 7 star zinogres, but zinogre shells, the rank 1 material just does not drop, its rarer that the grade 5 horn. And that is the material needed for literally every upgrade. Its just unbelievably stupid

I honestly cant solo zinogre. It would be nice to find some people that play in the area I live in.

Haven't even fought the story mission Zinogre yet, the Hunt-a-thons aren't for me.

Yes, you can solo it if you have strong enough weapons and the necessary perks. Which I currently don't have. I usually get stuck on the 5* cause they have boosted health. Just like Black Diablos. I have to keep grinding till I'm ready so maybe HaT #2 or #3. Lol

I (hunter rank 85) couldn't solo a single zinogre with my 7*2 legiana bow, nor with my 6*2 black diablos bow, which usually is good enough to beat any 7* monster...maybe I'm just bad, dunno, but a monster with so many attacks, that goes supersayan AND that you can only fight with 1.7X health...seems pretty tough for solo players...which seems to be nearly every player outside japan, for what i'm hearing in the community.

I haven't been able to take down a 6 Star Zinogre either. Just have to keep grinding on other monsters to upgrade my Ice weapon.

Niantic is treating this as a raid event NOT a solo event. So if you're soloing a 6* Zinogre, you need a Grade 7* or higher ice weapon to take it down. 😡

I would suggest sword and shield as its a lot easier to learn monsters moves. At HR67 you shouldn't have problems with a rathian at 5 star. If you need a build I would suggest paralyse sns with rathlos helm, rathlos chest, rathian arms, anj waist and pink rath legs. Really solid build for most weapons tbh. Love the content btw

How do you like all the new nodes on the map?

I've been able to solo them. I just wish they weren't on a 3-hour time gate.

Archer here ( we got overnerfed imo ).Took down 2 of them with a friend, i just got ice atk 4 but havent found any today , havent been able to kill it with ice atk 3 but it was expected. Hunting barioths to get that lvl 5 ikce atk , then I'm sure i can kill it.

Yep, they really boosted out Hunt-A-Thons Monsters, more spicy atk n thicc armor so u really need a grade 6 (red) gear or above if you go on solo, or just raid it together with others, just like Poke-Raid in Poke-Go 😗👌

I got G8 5/5 Legi LS, can take out 6☆ and 7☆ but I need G9 5/5 for solo 8☆ and unfortunately I have to wait a week for Refining parts. Refining parts should be available in shop to purchase.

I've manage to solo hunt-a-thon with Rimespire 1 Grade 6 5/5, Amour skill Ice atk 4, 2/4 time with multiple attempt every run. Very difficult to hunt.

The fact that all huntathon monsters have their health increased from their normal ones (1.7x) just makes this event a bit more interesting

I can solo a 6* huntathon with a 7/5 Malady's Tabar, but that's about it.

I’ve soloed a hunt a thon with grade 5 weapons all comes down to what elements your using. The 5* act like 6* and the 6* are 7*. I might have gotten one 6* but it’s not easy. Some people saying it isn’t fair, you still get to kill 3-4 extra monsters every 150 minutes I think. You don’t get anything special for completing it btw. I just wanted a badge

Only with team is possible, i try solo too but, the time out 😅

havent been able to get a single zinogre down yet and dont think i will for a while sinse i a solo player

I tried one and just gave up on them since I can only play solo.

HR 96 here with 2 weapons 7/5 and i cannot solo zinoger 7 star in hunt a thon

O último Boss da Hunt parece ter um buff no Hp. A legiana 6* eu solo tranquilo fora da huntaton mas no evento eu não tiro nem 60% dela, o tempo acaba antes de eu derrota-la

So the creatures are 1.7 times tougher. I have not gotten by level 5 creatures so far.

you need at LEAST 7.5 weps to barely beat it solo. Ice helps a lot too

Some mobile tips for you Turn off the lock screen orientation Also, zoom out of your view during your hunts. Your life will be tremendlusly better. Happy hunting.

I love this game but at the same time it reeally pisses me off. There’s nowhere near enough Earth Crystals or Monster Bone +s out there. And my hunter is HR60 but i still can’t solo a hunt-a-thon. And it’s not like I suck. They constantly fill areas with pukei pukei, kula ya ku and jagras when they know damn well ppl don’t wanna keep seeing the same damn monsters. and taking away daily paintballs was lame too. Idk how much more i can take before I hang it up tbh

Today i struggled a bit beating a 5* Rathian and Rathalos in a hunt-a-ton😅 i crush 6* of these two so easily in the wild😄 Seems like the first 4 monsters are always with the same weakness aren't they?

I personally got filtered by 7 star zinogre. Managed to easily kill 6 star zinogre with a buddy though.

This event was trash. I have pretty high level gear and I wasn't able to solo it... I've been playing since the beginning and have never seen another player. It's not possible for me to play any more than I already do on top of work and taking care of my family. Sucks because I enjoy this game but I can't do the events. I destroyed black diablos 7 Star but I can't be a six star zinogre

The event ia fun but again, even if normal farming takes u so much potions, what they expect u to do fightinh hp buffed monster one after the other nonstop... its juat a joke for the f2p base at this point

6* zinogre should be about the same lv as 7* diablos

I still haven't seen a real benefit to hunt-a-thons. No special rewards if you beat the whole thing, just regular mats from more difficult monsters. Especially not needing to farm Zinogre, there's definitely no incentive to buy tickets, imo.

The problem is, for a content creator you're quite a bit under progressed. But I suppose it gives your videos a more progression Vlog style. I think you should put some time in to getting your weapons to grade 7-8 with viable armor to make some decent content. Going raw build is alot faster too so you shouldn't be taking this long to get to grade 7 😅
