Played regulary outdoor in AJ1 Mid Bred, replace the originals-lifestyle-laces with oval laces like in kyrie's, and also originals insole with boost-alike insole, boom you're set and good to go

It can still hoop. I was able to wear Jordan 1 Low "Phoenix Suns" colorway to hoop for about 5 games, all in outdoor. That was 12 years ago. What I did is I change the insole and it is good to go.

I remember highschool 2008-2012 people would be hooping with af1 and i would hoop in the nike air flight falcons. I think those have the same sole as the aj4

The shoe is trash to hoop in. There is a reason MJ broke his foot playing this shoe. Nike put polyurethane midsole in AJ 1 afterwards. But too little too late. Tech and development has improved in leaps and bounds since the 80's ( and this is coming from a guy who hoop in high school in the mid 80's till the turn of the decade and played college in the 90s and is still playing...Recreationally of course ;) .) Good job on the review, Sammy. Much respect!

High tech shoes= low tech bodies. Reason why your arches and feet were hurting is do to your feet being weak and bad biomechanics.You and others now use footwear for arch support instead of the arch being arch support. However that is hard to do if your toes are in dorsi flexion because the shoes isnt flat. * Your arch is a natural spring plate. Your not suppose to heel strike when running, walking yes but not jogging or running. Just like at Olympic sprinters and their shoes. Look at high level marathon runners they ain't heel striking.Your heel is counter balance for the ball of your foot to distribute weight, a brake time to time ( ball of your foot is a better and stronger breaker tho.) Yes are some modern day insoles a nice improvement yes but overall the modern basketball/footwear has had a negative effect on the body.( partly a reason why you see so many non contract injuries)

Please don't ~ zero comfort technology.
