Madhu Trehan is one of the few true "journalists" India has ever had. I remember clamouring for the NewsTrack VHS tapes that was packed with such awesome news and analysis at a time when Doordarshan had nothing! Ironically, even today, with a zillion news channels, none have managed to match the brilliance of NewsTrack. I hope Madhu starts her own news channel and brings back true journalism.

Madhu Trehan/Sagarika Ghose, Ram Jethmalani was perfectly justified in calling Sagarika a chit of a girl because he kept on explaining why he was within the legal framework to take on Manu Sharma's brief, however, Ghose kept on haranguing him in quite a stupid manner, even the viewers would have seen she was indulging in premeditated stupidity.

Sagarika is an entity in Indian Tele World because her father was the head of Doordarshan. If she was born in a middle class or lower economic family; she would have been a non entity in the Indian society.

A) You know nothing about what print pays. Beginners in A list Indian newspapers and middle rung reporters get the same salaries as TV channels. B) Outlook remains an extremely good place to work for Indian journalists even today. And yes, they very well by Indian print standards. C) Even my retired parents can appoint an on-duty maid. So unless you are on subsistence ration somewhere, keeping a maid is no great shakes.

I feel that it doesn't take much to understand the so called secular journalism just read Wikipedia about them and after looking at their detailed family history it became obvious.
