Hey guys we go for a 340 miles day ride, so can you tour with a Triple? I guess you can tour with any bike, but would you do a 500 mile day on a Triple.

I bought a 2010 675R few weeks ago and rode it 530km back home on the spot. 2 stops for fuel and one for food. It was surprisingly ok! The wind is a factor of course, above 120km/h but manageable. Ear plugs help a ton!

Hi, proud RS (Carnival Red) owner from the Netherlands here. Previously owned a 2013 STRIPLLE R and took it on 4day trips few times a year 1600km. Did the same with an older R850GS (owned both bikes simultaneously) i found the STRIPLLE more fun and not as much fatiguing. With the GS there is more weight on your but and you dont move around as much, this caused me to shift and stand up if we would enter a town. Luggage options are limited on the STREET. I invested in the Kriega US (20 and 10), so far I am very pleased. I have yet to take my RS on a similar trip. If youre interested in my experiences let me know. Love the vids.

Hey man, I did a 240 mile day trip with the FZ the other weekend which really wasn't bad. Stayed cool and it was a good ride. After I get a tail bag and a backpack we'll push those numbers up 😎

Cool, the FZ was also a comfy ride all day.

Glad that the Triple didn't beat you up on this ride!! And you got closer to the mountains this time, which is always a good thing!! I'll have to disagree with you on the lead rider needing a sport bike though, since that would just exacerbate his riding skills. I'm sure he learned a good lesson that day about braking in a curve though.

Hoping to hit the Blue Ridge Parkway soon. You are probably right, I think the on coming car distracted him. It only takes a second to loose your line and its over in a tight turn.

G'day Ken. First off mate, that ride was terrific to say the least! Wish we some roads like that in my neck of the woods. The handling of the Trumpy in the bends looked like it was on rails. No wonder you really enjoy time on this bike. Could you kindly try to convince James that it would be a better option for him to have a sport/naked bike for this type of riding as I reckon it will extend his riding career. LOL. That was a good save though, I must admit. Bit of a bugger with the camera brother, but hey, sh*t happens and it's an easy replace but it is annoying, that's for sure. That Officer was certainly checking out your bike when you left the carpark at Hanging Rock. Maybe he wanted a spin on it? 🤔🤣. Thanks so much for this video as I have been somewhat house bound for a while and this therapy session has definitely improved my mood. Appreciate it brother, so stay safe and have fun. Cheers.

We are spoiled here... good times for sure. The cop did not look very happy I can tell you. Hoping you can get back on a bike soon, its the best therapy I can think of.

I just bought my first naked bike, a KTM 660 Duke and I love it! I had a Harley heritage softail classic with 20” apes when I was going through my mid life crisis! Where in NY are you from? I’ve been actively researching my next naked bike and I’m torn between the Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory-KTM Duke 890R-Ducati street fighter v2 and your bike! If you’re not from NY I apologize but I’m from Yonkers and you sound like a New Yorker to me. Have a great day Brutha 🙏

Are you from New York?
@Yo-Ken
@Yo-Ken 11 месяцев назад
I grew up in Queens. It's hard to shake the NY accent. I now live in NC. I looked at the Aprilia, cool bike, but not enough power. The 890r has good power, but I don't like the seating position. Street Fighter the power and the looks, but no cruise control and lots of heat from the rear cylinder for summer riding. So far, so good with triple, although I wish it had 20hp:) You may want to look at an MT09, very similar to the Triple, and about a $1000 cheaper.

Ha. When I saw tour, I was hoping to see how you managed to strap luggage on it. I'd probably put some Bonnie dropped footpegs on the Street Trip for a little more leg room, but aside from that, it looks to be designed for putting some miles on it.

I'm not much for side bags, if i want to go on a longer trip I will just wear a back pack.

Did you at any point in the journey feel as though having the OEM flyscreen fitted would have been of benefit?
@Yo-Ken
@Yo-Ken Год назад
I have tried flyscreens in the past, and they put more wind under and around my helmet, to much wind noise. Its a much quieter ride with no flyscreen for me.
@sambagogo777

@@Yo-Ken Much appreciated. That seems to be a common experience, i.e. the small size flyscreens available for naked motorcycles seem great in theory but not so much in practice.

The most ive done in a weekend on my RS was over 800 miles and it hurt 😂. About 200 miles one way is good for weekend runs. 400-500 miles in two daus

@@Yo-Ken it was a one time event, for my 20th anniversary high school reunion. I had just finished break in, so I felt like if there was any time to make that trip that was it. I can say 200-250 miles in one day, stopping for sight seeing and meals makes about six to eight hours in the saddle and that works fine for me

At 47 my typical day blast on my Aprilla RSV4 is about 100 to 150 miles and I've done 300 in a day, physically I'm alittle worn but the butt cheeks is where I feel the most pain😂. Considering the RS liking it more and more
@Yo-Ken
@Yo-Ken Год назад
The RSV4, now that's a cool bike. You are a better man than me, I love the looks of sport bikes, but my back disagrees:). The RS I think will give you handling like a sport bike, and good power up to 130, but the RSV4 does have that top end power along with wind protection when your are tucked in and high speed. If you can handle 300 mile days on a sport bike, the RS will be a joy to ride all day.

Do you have any issues with vibration through the bars on yours? Mine is crazy and I heard a lot of others complaining about it too
@Yo-Ken
@Yo-Ken Год назад
I have bar end weights and grip puppies on the hand grips. Normal cruising is fine, anything about 6000 rpm I do feel feel some vibs, but no more than any of the other bikes I have owned.

No lower back pain, wrists were also good, but I did use the cruise to give my hands a break.
