We had a cat that trained himself to go outside instead of a litter box. We kept a box inside so he wouldn’t have to go out during storms. He was a great cat.
My 7 yr old cat has pottied indoors & outdoors all his life > Never made an "accident" inside > currently it's too cold & wet outside & neighbors dogs run loose, making him too nervous to "go" out at all, poor guy! He's The Best Cat EVER!
I had two cats (3 now) but when I had two as kittens, they planned an escape. They were brilliant the little buggers. They did escape and as they separated laughing at me and I didn't know which way or which one of them to catch, they both went down opposite sides of the garden and pooped. They came back in all smug. I realised that they didn't want to poop in the house anymore, they wanted out. So now despite me wanting them to be indoor cats, we have cat flaps. We are in England, so don't worry about them. They poop in someone else's garden now 😎😆
Take away the litterbox and let the cat outside. Maybe take a bit of the used litter and put it on the ground where you would prefer the cat to do its thing. I never had any problem with that approach.
I have 2 male fixed cats that always go outside. Cena is around 6 and we adopted him after a neighbor left him behind when they moved away. He was the ruling neighborhood tomcat at the time, and we got him fixed and brought him inside. He loves to lay around the house or the yard and always uses the bathroom outside. He taught my 2 1/2 year old Ragdoll, KittenChow how to potty outside too. BTW: I absolutely love your channel and especially the opening sequence and music!
I have an elderly cat who has always gone to the toilet outside, if he needs to go day or night I just let him outside saying I'll waited for you to come back boy and he does just that he's as good as gold Gail
My cat goes to the bathroom outside. We found her when she was about six months old and she has been going to the bathroom outside since. She’s like a dog. She just me hours when she has to go out. It is amazing!!!!
I don't know where the hell my cat goes to the bathroom it certainly isn't inside unless it's been raining for a few days but I noticed my mother's tomatoes grow exceptionally healthy and large since me and the cat moved back home with Mom
Thank you I really needed this. My cat passed away in my arms she was a mother of four kittens one of them died, now we have three left and they aren't trained for potty I will try my best thank you :).
When my cat was a kitten I trained him to scratch on the door when he had to go potty & then when I wasn't home he was outside with his mom & grandma & then when I got home he'd come in the house. If he had to potty when I was asleep he would wake me up by scratching on me ( without claws ) He is an inside cat all the time now.
My cat is an outside inside cat he knows how to use the litter box but if he wants to go out side he will stand at the door and meow and meow if he wants back in
Mine does business both places, but that mainly applies to poop. She often prefers to come in JUST to pee, ie she can be outside, walks inside to litter box, then truns around and goes right on out again. No idea why.
I don’t let my cats outside. It’s bad for the bird population, the risk of fleas and ticks, let alone general dangers from cars and other predators. Luckily even when a door is left open to the outside, they have zero interest in going outside. That being said, they like to glue themselves to an open window. 😂
My cat always poops and pees on our bed, i have tried using sand , soil , taking him out for poop but it keeps doing same thing on the bed , im frustrated .. need help
I’ve been living with my roommate for a year and found out her cat peed outside the box. He has destroyed the apartment and unfortunately, this weekend is when we bring him to a farmhouse to rehome him. We did everything we could to train him, changed the litter, reward him when he peed in the box, but he still habitually prefers to go outside of box. He’s a high maintenance cat and I think he’ll be better in an outdoor environment where he’ll get a lot more action and not ruin anyone’s house. Although we love him, we know this is the best scenario for him and my roommate.
My advice to you is, if you can’t solve the problem, which I do appreciate you digging to do so! But if you try everything and you’re exhausted of options, rehome your cat to be an outdoor cat on a farm or someone who will train him to be just an outdoor cat. Please never compromise your cat ruining your home, irritating your family, it’s not worth keeping your cat over. If we love them, we will find them a better home.
My roommate’s cat does unfortunately, we’ve exhausted all out options on him being an indooor cat. He is never satisfied and needs to run, jump, hunt, and play which he isn’t getting here. The worst thing is he has habitually peed outside the box for his whole life with my roommate and hes 3. We’ve tried training him, asked the vet, and looked up every video or information possible. He doesn’t understand. He’s habitually peed outside the box since she got him and therefore he thinks it’s okay. We’re officially rehoming him to a farmhouse where he won’t ruin the new family’s house with pee and he’ll be with the other outdoor cats they have on the farm. He’ll get to do all the things he’s wanted to do which he can’t get in an apartment. Some cats do need to be outdoors. He needs to use his instincts given to him and he’ll be much happier.
i keep hitting my cat but he still poops inside it's soo annoying, should i be hitting the cat harder or should i be kicking him, so then he will remember if he poops inside he will feel pain, and that will cause him not to poop.
yeah but he still shits inside i tried slamming him againest the wall, and plunging him in cold water but still not working, if anything it makes him shit more.@@halimashamim-tk5lj
