While searching Reddit for answer to another question (I'm a first time Tamagotchi parent) I found a way to pause (at the least) the Demon Slayer Nano Tamagotchi, Simply press b and go into the clock and hold C and press A. The first number(s) on the clock should start blinking, This tricks the game into a pause like a scenario. I hope this helps anyone possible!!!🥰

I absolutely love it, I have the Rengoku Shell but I got Shinobou as my Hashira, It's quite exciting but after a while the magic get repetitive, I almost wish that after you became a Hashira you could get different training options, but other than that I love the easy to use system!

I have the Pix in "Sky Purple" and when I got my first egg it was a cute baby boy❤️ he's evolved into a cute orange looking child tama. But those precious moments of looking after him as a baby really touched me. For Halloween I took care of him all during work. I was so surprised how I was still able to balance his care and my work. I thought they'd be SUPER needy but no, I fed him played with him and he was fine 30 mins at a time😱 I'd say I'm developing as a good tama- mama lol but 2 days strong 💪 ✨️ again thankyou for this channel and thankyou for caring😭❤️

I’m thinking about getting the Tamagochi nano demon slayer version so I was wondering if leaving it on setting time like the original one would be alright or just leaving it alone like you said for the rest of the day? Because I’ve heard with that version, there are demons that would pop up at certain times to try an attack the character so I’m a little worried for them if I leave it off to the side incase I get busy with life.

Hi! I can see why you are concerned with the attacks that can happen on the Demon Slayer. I don't have any experience with the Demon Slayer Tamagotchi, but if it's like the other Nano devices I have used then you should be able to leave it alone for a couple of hours. Yes the attacks will still happen, and it can shorten your gameplay but I've never noticed that it shortens it a lot when this happens to me. I used to play Gudetama Tamagotchi a few years ago and that one gets attacked by someone trying to eat the little egg. If it happens too much your character will sulk and eventually die, but this took a very long time to happen. I think you should be okay, but you should let me know how it goes!

@@JillGrygas yes they did! And what you said was correct! The demons do arrive at different time intervals so they don’t attack during the slayer’s sleep schedule. Definitely am able to pause the game but also change the time for them to sleep so I can have some time to focus on things. Overall, really fun and I’m loving them!

Hi Nicole! I don't remember exactly which room background I have on my Pix currently, but there is a secret to QR codes... you can find them all over the internet! If you search for Mr Blinky you can find the Pix QR code for all sorts of items and backgrounds that you can get on your Pix using the camera. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

For the pix, if anyone is getting it, it turnes off after you don’t touch it for a while. And for the babysitter I would try to get gotchi points so before you go to bed you can get the babysitter so it doesn’t die when you sleep!

I would love to do more videos about the Tamagotchi Angel but unfortunately mine doesn't have a back so I can't keep the batteries in. The gameplay is different from the original Tamagotchi but the way to pause it is the same.

Hi! You'll need a very small screwdriver to open the back so you can change out the batteries. You'll also need two new very small watch batteries.

Over nights! I am amazed at people who can do that. You can always change the time too so that the Tama is awake when you are if you are able to take care of it while you are working. If not, then yes the battery trick will work perfectly for that busy schedule!

Does the Tamagotchi Nano has a specific time limit until my character just...die? Because I obviously can’t be there for it when I’m sleeping either, so what am I supposed to do? Just take care of it as best as I can? Or just mute it, and hope that it just won’t die on me?

Which nano do you have? Each one is a little different for how long the game is. If you set the time correctly it should go to bed at night so you don’t need to worry about it then. You can always change the time so it goes to bed when you do :)

I have the tiny tan tamagotchi. And for holidays I can't use it. Is there anything I can do? I left mine out for over 30 hours and it should a crying emoji with it in bed, then it left the screen and I have no clue what's happening. So how do I prevent that from happening again?

Hi! I don't know a ton about the Tiny Tan Tamagotchi. I think if you are busy for the holidays the best thing to do is take out the batteries for however long you'll be busy for. That way you don't have to worry too much about it and you can enjoy the holiday time! Progress doesn't save though when you take the batteries out. That's the only down side to doing that, but either way it sounds like your Tiny Tan will run off or die if you leave it alone too long :(

So today I learned that Tomogatchis are still a thing. Thought that died out in the 90s speaking AS a 90s kid. I'm actually considering getting one for nostalgia's sake. Either Kamen Rider or Kingdom Hearts (leaning towards Kingdom Hearts). Do these things require constant care? The KH one will have Sora occasionally be attacked by Heartless and that's gonna be annoying. Another question, how do I prevent paint scraping if I hook it onto a pair of keys and can I mute it? The loud beeping can get annoying.

Another fellow child of the 90s! Welcome to the community! The two you are considering are probably the easiest of all the different types of Tamagotchis. They are called "nano" devices, and they have easier gameplay. The heartless attacking Sora shouldn't be too hard to catch. If it's like the other nano types then it'll happen for around an hour and then disappear. As for paint scraping, I think you could look around online for a cover for that Tamagotchi size. And yes, you can mute all tamagotchis. I would have been fired from my job by now if you couldn't! 😅

If you set the time correctly, they should sleep when you do. They aren't designed to beep all night, but if you set the AM PM incorrectly then they could!

I was 21 when tamagotchi came out but I bought one anyway because why should I miss out? I just bought the Pac Man Nano, it's the perfect version for my old Gen X self, lol. This video was helpful. How do you change the batteries of a nano when the batteries are dying without losing your progress?

Unfortunately the nano devices do not have a way to save your progress. Once you take the batteries out all information will be lost.

Hi! Your battery is dead! To fix this you will need a tiny screwdriver and a new battery. The battery size for the Gen 1 is a CR2032 which you can get online or in a store like Walmart or Target.

Your BT21 version is a Tamagotchi "nano" and can follow the advice on here. It's really easy to take care of so you can leave it at home for a few hours or change the time so it's sleeping when you are busy :)

Hey! I have a question. For the tamagotchi smart is it like the pix? Will you have to come back at a certain time to make sure it doesnt die? Because i like to have peace and quiet when i sleep lol 😂

If you set the time correctly the Tamagotchi should go to bed between 8- 10 p.m. You can always change the time when you sleep so it's not awake if you aren't!

For the first tamagotchi, even if we SET the time, is there no way to turn off the tame ? Or does it turn off until the battery dies ?

For the original tamagotchi, no there is no way to turn it off. If you need a break that's where the time trick comes in. Leave the screen on "SET" and it's basically paused. Yes the battery will eventually run out like that, but if you need a few hours or few days break it should be fine :)

Darn. I got the Hello Kitty Nano and it keeps resetting. I got frustrating with it so I haven't hatched a new pet. Now it keeps making the annoying reset sound. The best we can do is remove the batteries?

Hi Fron! Great question about the Tamagotchi On. I'm actually going to cover that in a video I'm hoping to post next week, but I won't make you wait. I think that they are phasing out the Tamagotchi On. I've noticed that when it was available on Amazon the prices were going up and now I can't seem to find it at all. You can get them on Ebay but the prices on there have been going up too :( I haven't seen the Tamagotchi On in the stores either since before the Tamagotchi Pix came out.

Wait dont the pix have an off button? when you click the reset button and hold A and C buttons (i think they mean 1 and 3 buttons) and then you will see one of the options says "off" and when you click it it turns off, and when you hold the B button (i think they ment the 2nd one) it will turn on.

Hi! Welcome to being a tamagotchi parent! If you set the time correctly your tamagotchi will sleep at night and will not beep and annoy your family. Just know though that depending on which character you have will have different bedtimes. You can look up online when they go to bed.

What type of Rock'n'Roll Tamagotchi is this? Bands, parent houses, babysitters, color display??? 👀 I just bought a Gen2, had the original back in 7th grade. Set clock is the only option for me. I saw a pause option but not on mine.

Right? Tamagotchis have evolved a lot since we were kids! The pause option was only on the Tamagotchi Connections, so if that's what you had as a kid that might be what you are thinking of.

Hi Leah! It sounds to me like the batteries were dying. That x mean the batteries are dead. I also found I had issues with my Hello Kitty if I didn't tighten the back up enough and the batteries were slightly loose. Try changing the batteries and let me know if that fixes your issue!

Before I started using the tamagotchi, I worried what to do when I was busy. Now, I just take the batteries out and put them back on, and then a have to adjust the time.

Hi! It depends on which Tamagotchi you have. The new color ones have memory to save your game so all you have to do is change the batteries and keep playing where you left off. If it’s not in color then once the batteries die your game ends and you have to start over when you replace the batteries.

I am not sure how to tell what version my daughter has. It says 2017 on the back, but it looks like the original Tamagotchi as far as the b&w pixelated screen and stuff. Would the clock trick be the best bet on this one you think?

Is your daughter's Tamagotchi very small? 2017 is when the Tamagotchi mini came out. I'm not sure if the time trick would work, but you can try it!

Hi Andi! No the tamagotchi will not die if you leave the batteries out for a while, as long as you are talking about the Tamagotchi Meets/On/Pix. If you take the batteries out of a Nano tamagotchi (Hello Kitty, Star Wars, Pac Mac, etc) or the Original Tamagotchi (Gen 1 and Gen 2) then it will reset and you will have to start over once you put batteries back in.

The section in this video where I talk about "Original Tamagotchi" should cover what you need to know. There isn't an official pause feature, but you can "set" the time and just never start it again to pause it.

Hi Jayda! Yes the Pix, Meets, and On can all die. If that happens you can watch one of my many videos on the topic ;) but also you can restart them. It's not the worst thing in the world if you get busy and can't take care of them and they die. Unless you have the extra cash to spend, I would suggest going for the newer Tamagotchi Pix as you can get it for a decent price now. I think the gameplay reminds me a lot of the original tamagotchi, just with more modern features. The ultimate decision is up to you though!

Hi! I think to get the App you need to have the ability to access the App store in the US or Canada. If you search around the internet there should be instructions on how to do that if you don't live in the US or Canada. Otherwise you should be able to go to the App store of whatever phone you have and search for "Tamagotchi ON".
