Scotland, owned by King James the VI of Scotland and I of England inherited England when Queen Elizabeth I died and a century or so later, they were united to be equal, which didn't happen as England was more dominant. I am not sure on how Wales was conquered though.
There is even a better way or you could combine, use your daughters to marry matrianery the second or the third in the line of the inheritance and then kill the heir, so their children will be from your dynasty and it is much easier to vasalize them as well you will spread your dynasty everywhere and will give you massive renown boost.
its not just useful for vassalisation. once your dynasty is one the throne they dont mind marrying of their primary heir to yours to join the lines (who will usually be cousins). good way to merge major kingdoms. the added incest makes the habsburg experience much more authentic.
Whenever I vassalize someone by using the Religious Protection, I immediately change their contract and change the religiously protected to something else like war sanctioned and make them convert.
Insular vassals can actually get a +5 to opinion if you allow them religious rights, they consider you righteous no matter what and won’t have lowered opinion of you.
For the powerful vassal opinion modifier on vassalization acceptance, make sure your powerful vassals are on your council. Wanting a seat on the council is a big penalty for powerful vassals, and if they like you, other people want to be your vassal. The Duke of Connacht had 22 intrigue and Munster had 24 martial, so they would have been good councillors too.
Something you might not know, but you shouldn't bother converting Insular Christians since their faith makes them like other Christians. Insular Christians like Catholics more than Catholics like Catholics.
I mean, you can form it without Intrigue if you use Royal Marriages to eventually get yourself or your primary heir as the heir of England. Of course, that would be an incredible long shot without intrigue, so it's probably not a good idea to forsake intrigue entirely
Can you please form the empire of Carpathia with an Orthodox Vlach ruler please Snap ? i always wanted to see you play in that region vlach culture has some interesting bonuses for playing tall and at the start of the game you can take land within inside your lieges realm.
I'm sorry. It hurts me so, when I see people chasing an army while losing half of their own army from attrition. I might give this a try. I've only ever done this with Bjorn for Scandanavia. This looks way harder.
I became king of England by being an intrigue character and getting a strong hook on the pope, requesting a claim, and I got accepted, I was second in the election since my char was genuinely a pious prestigious Chad and so I just killed the king’s son to be 1st
In this timeline the Dunkelds work so hard to conquer through minimal death (only assassinating a couple dozen kings rather than forcing tens of thousands to die in years of endless war) but all that will be remembered is all the assassinations because of some random 16th century playwright sucking up to some bitter local south England lords who pay him.
Glad you picked Malcolm. I grew up in Dunfermline the town he lived and was originally buried in and the place he made capital of Scotland. He was solely responsible for me getting into history as a child and basically gave me my career path in life so I always love seeing people play him in CK3
Stronger than befriend? I guess gifts are more easily spammable… I’m a 867 polish run where I’m creating defender of rod and uniting the Slavs before dismantling the papacy, ruler’s the king of Poland at 26 (893) and finishing up befriending the last powerful vassal… only problem is Great Moravia was formed and took over bohemia and a good chunk of Poland before I could finish my initial conquest D: Well, at least I’ll be able to get the defender of rod and maybe found a holy order in his lifetime… uniting the west Slavs might be a next generation thing :/
@@vindex7309 Thoughtful perk plus high diplomacy can allow you to get well over 150 opinion from a single gift. It is ridiculously powerful, and diplomacy education is great fro keeping a large empire together.
Can you please create the Latin Empire as Duke of Flanders and the objectif are to get the kingdom of Thessaloniki in the Crusade and then Conquer kingdom of Hellas, and kingdom of Crete and then create the Latin Empire
Seriously tho, the army ai in this is actually trash. I’ve seen armies bug between capturing and rejoining the rest of its detachment, I’ve seen battles lost where the involvement of an ai controlled unit joining a tile away would have been the difference between victory, I’ve seen armies March randomly across the map trying to decide if it wanted to try to take a county or if it wanted to defend. CK4 needs better army ai xD
I give you a challenge unite germania in the holy roman empire age get independance and conquer lots of land including far away lands do all of that starting from the title of a count or barron good luck ohh and get important artifacts and defeat big empires thank you for all you're video's please do the challenge thanks.
21:57 He participated in a crusade (IN CRUSADER KINGS!?11!!?1!?? But he actually broke the rule of no offensive war, or being called into one doesn't count?
After the independence war around 16 mins, why don't you destroy the revoked dutchy title and give away the counties to different people to decentralize more?
Insular vassals actually don’t hate their lieges of other Christian faiths since they have pastoral isolation, they see every Christian as righteous. Krstjani is the same
Rather than having to murder dozens of people, it would have been faster to marry off your heir to one the women (being 3rd or lower in line, else the marriage proposal won't even be considered) in the line of sucession for England (still in her childbearing years) and just kill off all those that precedeed her... then your grandson would have eventually inherited both kingdoms (considering the date I'm assuming partition had already been enabled). Between waiting to see IF the realm gets all dismantled from within or waiting out the time for a secured inheritance... well, the second option is always safest, and you are gonna have to take your sweet time in either case. But there is an even better option; do both at the same time. Fun watch. That son of yours though... xD edit: I've seen that some other players already commented this before me; oh well 😅
Problem with marrying to a woman is that all her brothers, no matter their age, will be in front of her in succession. You would have to kill all the brothers, any children they have, and any sisters in front of her.
It's easy to unite brittania with no war's make alliance's with children marrying and them getting children i haven't played crusader kings three but I know you can unite brittania with alliances and making you're heir first inline for you're allies land by murdering sometimes I haven't watched the video yet and I love you're videos carry on the good work.
"It's easy to unite brittania... i haven't played crusader kings three" So you watched heavily experienced players on youtube in which the videos likely cut out most of the days. EVERYTHING looks easier when its done by a youtuber.
Religious rights are actually really easy to deal with. Just do what Romand, Ottomans did and educate their kids. Or you could just revoke that land after the Irish rebel
