Why does it have to be so hard, like what the heck? I'm trying to connect a freaking GoPro to my PC for six hours, and I don't even understand if I have FFmpeg or not, if it works or not. Python doesn't see *something* in *somewhere* and it doesn't say what is exactly wrong. Every time I try to do stuff it's just turns into some stupid aerospace engineering. I just can't find any answers when I'm going into any interesting niche thing, it's just lots of code, installing, and things that just don't work with my broken Windows that doesn't even let me open any basic apps. I'm done, sorry. I'm so frustrated about this whole thing. Time to go and cry even though I don't have any specific reason to connect a GoPro to my PC, but I want to do this, because... it's like a challenge now, but no one made a simple working solution yet. Sorry. I'm just trying to be smart without actually being smart, and then I suddenly get frustrated because I'm not actually smart.

i would call "free" a lie since you need the RC remote.

Neither way works. It always says 'ffmpeg' is not recognized as an internal. No files even come up in the 8080 of the web search of the camera. So using VLC is impossible. And the virtual cam doesn't do a damn thing. This isn't accurate at all. You can get a live video feed out of the mini-USB port on the GoPro Hero 3+. Easy.
