This week on Detailed, we ran across a detailing hack....
Using Olive Oil to condition your interior!? We test it against our Dash Guard+

I tried it but.... I Warmed up some water in the microwave for 3 minutes then added some olive oil then I let it sit for about 15 minutes then applied it to a micro rag and wipe the dashboard down . I tried it and It didn't make my dashboard oily and it got a shine to it.

Use auto transmission oil ,wipe off excess n the wax it to seal it in,will work and stay longer than any trim reatorer in the market

If you want that satin OEM factory finish, olive oil is a terrible choice.

😂 That is why we definitely do not recommend it! Don't worry we went through great lengths after the video to ensure we could clean up as much of the aftermath as possible. Thanks for watching!

Olive oil on wood is great,it soaks in to the wood,but I am wondering if is too oily for leather,and if it will interact with plastic. Wd 40 will destroy plastc as well as some sufacactant cleaners,eg 409 will cause some plastics to crumble !
