Madchild is a legendary rapper. Now his sound is kind of repetitive but I still like listening to him. And Prevail is a really poetic and interesting writer. I still listen to everything they put out, but I especially like how distinct their sound was to me back in their heyday, when I was a teenager in my parents basement.

Swollen Members are legendary. They, Dilated and Aceyalone made me get into Rap music back in the day, I was always a rock guy before. Thanks for that and for being true to yourselves. And I also find it funny how articulate and cool they seem compared to fools like Kanye. Real Mc's and real music.

Swollen Members are hell of a lot better than Drake, and I'm not a Swollen Members fan. I think the only reason Drake is spoken so highly of is because he's in the Pop scene. That's my opinion. I'm not arguing with anybody.

I was there 1995 Club7 Alexander Gastown Vancouver when I seen Swollen for the first time rock the house with like 200 people in the joint. Swollen are the best. No one can touch them.

Madchild,mad respect for you, and all the BS you went through. Swollen Members came onto the scene in 97? In Canada. I loved the beats,"bring it home" I think was the track name, deadly bars on it,then the collab with Nelly Furtado(a beautiful Portuguese Canadian with some deadly work,"I'm like a bird",alot of hits). Loved the early stuff!

I saw these boys opening for gob back in the day. Security dragged me out cuz they said I mashed too hard. How theos hands so big tho? Then the first time I even been in van city first dude I ever met was prev and while I'm asking him where to get some weed someone come up shaking my hand bout it's great to meet me cuz I had the long blonde hair and was standing with prev so he must of thought I was mad. Prev told me go to Granville st then clearly blazed up in some caravan with his boys.. dude should have hooked me up. Later I cut up some weed on Neil pearts floor tom and met Theo from gob. I love Vancouver and I love sm.

after being deported..they dont just ''let you back in''..you have to wait 5years then file a waiver and 1 other form(cant remember what is called) and there just under 1000 dollars total to file it and takes a year...thats after being in a I.C.E.(immigration jail) this happened to me did 36 days in jaill cost me 7000 dollars to get out got home dec 23(2 day b4 xmas!) with no charges either you have no rights at a international border (my own experience)

Drake is treated differently in Canada, by Canadians. To be clear Drake isn't a bad MC, you'd never know it though because he became relegated to like almost Nate Dogg status as far as being able to feature for like everyone and being that highly sought after. He's more known for singing almost, but really he can spit and he also has ghost written for TONS of artists in that capacity.
