He's a very decisive scorer. You see guys making erratic passes or late dribble moves in traffic that lead to turnovers. Shae looks as consistent in international play as he does in the league, and I've found more respect for his game watching these exhibitions.
@@Derr95 It's amazing that a player that small can be considered one of the top 3 players in the world. He is an incredible athlete, but nobody that small can be successful in top-tier basketball competitions like the NBA or the Olympics without also having a very well refined set of skills.

I don't think french fans to be so naïve. Usa, Canada and Serbia among others are a way better than us. Vincent Collet did good things years ago but it's definitely over at the moment.

Canada looked like they were playing high iq basketball. They didn't recklessly attack the paint when there was wemby and gobert and just created open shots from the perimeter. When Victor or rudy left the paint to help defend the perimeter, then they capitalized on the open lane for a layup or dunk. France's defense was very vulnerable strategically. On the other hand canada played some really good defense. Felt like they always had a body giving no room for a good shot.
You might have forgotten but the Olympics and International play IS amateur competition. This only changed because USA wanted to stop losing at basketball using college amateurs 😂
I'd definitely put Serbia and even Germany above France (and I'm French!). For Greece tbf I haven't seen them played recently, but they could be ahead too.

Jamal only plays his best with Denver because of Jokic. Without Jokic’s screen to run around, Murray is just an average guard who’s a great shooter. He’s way overrated. He can’t play make by himself. SGA on the other hand is a much better player.

This game was IN FRANCE, and the one commentator IS FRENCH. So yeah, I think they're biased. Idk about that... you can slap a roster together with a bunch of superstars, but if your team chemistry is out of whack then you're definitely beatable. Team Canada has been playing together for 3 years now, preparing for this, and they have a huge chip on their shoulder to prove themselves. If anyone can upset and beat Team USA, I think it's Canada. So much shooting talent among some high IQ players, with real defensive grit.

Shai, Kelly, and RJ barret exposed france as usa's biggest threat just as Serbia did Canada didnt even have murray. France don't even have close to the best defensive backcourt Bam and Ad clear. Canada courted a weakened lineup, and still made it look easy against a full strength French side. No Jamal Murry, no Andrew Wiggins... Canada has to be the biggest threat to the US in the Olympics. Nobody other team, except Canada and the US has an all-NBA Bench...lol There are bench guys for Canada that barely get playing time who are starters in an NBA team
I know, right? I don't think I've ever seen a basketball player, ever, shoot a turnaround jump shot from 18 feet away. That's unheard of. And then he threw up a brick that banked off the backboard and went in. Incredible. No basketball player in history has ever made two shots in a row.
