This was a bubbly fun tune, great for a party.

The classic "Gymnatorium" that was incorporated in to so many schools built in the baby boom! I'm enjoying it! The Harmonies and the upbeat sound, I can't help but think of The Go-Gos, or Kim and Kelly Deal, or The Dollyrots.

The Bangles! They rocked! First time I saw them, they opened for Cyndi Lauper, and Susanna Hoffs jumped off the amp and landed in a split without missing a note! "Going Down to Liverpool" and "Hero Takes a Fall" were just starting to get college radio and MTV airplay then. Second time I saw them was when the Hoodoo Gurus were opening for them. I was close enough to the stage to get hit in the forehead by a bead of sweat that flew off of drummer Debi Pederson's forearm. I was anointed!

YES!!!!!! THANK YOU (again), Haniers!!! Glad you liked it! (I had a feeling I know your vibe!)... This reaction (and music) put a big smile on my face! If you want to continue with the New Pornographers: "The Bleeding Heart Show" is absolutely amazing... starts slow and building into this wonderful jam. ...other excellent songs are "Twin Cinema," and "Mutiny, I Promise You"... can't go wrong! If you're interested in checking out the wonderful solo work of these talented band members, here's some suggestions for two of their three lead singers: AC NEWMAN (wonderful songwriter, and can do no wrong my book): "Battle For Straight Time," "The Town Halo," and/or "The Heartbreak Rides." NEKO CASE: (one of the most dynamic voices in music. Mesmerizing) "Hold On, Hold On," "This Tornado Loves You," "People Got A Lotta Nerve." They both have so many great songs... truly an treasure trove of musical gems. Cheers!
