Canadian National's Steelton Hill in western Duluth, MN puts trains to work as northbounds climb the nearly 2% grade over 4.7 miles. Realignment and double tracking has increased capacity and has opened up the right of way for some spectacular views, many from state owned trails that line the right of way. Some really great heavy railroading!
