My name is Jacob Kempf and I'm so happy that you have found my channel! I created this channel in 2011 to begin sharing videos of my railroading adventures around the United State of America. My goal for this channel is to create content that highlights well-known, or sometimes unknown, railroad lines across a given area with the hope that those wishing to visit said line would use the videos as a resource should they ever decided to visit it themselves.
Thank you to all who continue to support this channel. God bless!

Again great video excellent history. I did mention you yesterday when I did my final shot. At state route 99 moorman yard were you were at. And mention your channel. And screenshot of your channel. That video will be out on 26 Jul 24. Again, excellent video.👍
Hello there sir. I just have to say though I really appreciate. You're knowledge on the wheeling and Lake Erie history. And excellent shots at state route 99 I have to get over there soon and see if i can catch some action there at that location myself. And I will absolutely mention you on my channel too. Manny thanks, on the history. Take care now. Mike N8RBI radio. From Collins, Ohio.
Appreciate the kind remarks. The Wheeling is one of my favorite railroads and much of what I include informationally is researched beforehand to ensure accuracy. Thanks again for looking!
G&W does not really own the Pennsy line, CSX does. It's leased to CF&E. Also same with NS, operated with Trackage Rights. As of 2024, their trackage rights no longer exist. I think they stopped paying for them around 2020, it really sucks. CSX runs occasional grain trains down the Pennsy, I only ever got to see one. And there are also occasional CPKC sand trains that go through for the Wheeling & Lake erie. Sometimes they go as far as the Lima yard and sometimes up to Upper Sandusky into the siding. I also got to see one of those.
The guy in the blue squatted down in the opening scene at the Tamaqua Station is my dad me and my sis taking photos when i was 10 years old! im 18 now and railfan tamaqua all the time! I remember looking at the ATSF scheme wondering what the heck is it doing on the east coast.
Anyone here actually work on these units? Specifically electrically? ONR bought 5 of these from PR. We are looking for information and are reaching far and wide. Progress Rail are not that reliable for information even after we spend millions at progress
(17:51) I visit the Sterling area quite often to railfan the CSX New Castle Sub and walk on the County Line Trail that was built on top of the former Erie Lackawanna right-of-way, since I live approximately ten miles from there in the north end of Wooster. The W&LE Brewster Sub is less than five miles from where I live, and I always have to cross over it at the Eby Road crossing outside of Smithville on my way to Sterling.
Hi 4014, thanks for a rich history of your awesome power that you was built for. Thanks brother for being the last of the rails to be in operation today from time to time.
Thanks for the videos. I sure miss it there. Hope to relocate back up that region again soon. The freights used to run by house at least 2x a day. Homesick blues.
I have several Montana Rail link engines ,(HO on my layout. It covers the Pacific North west and the Canadian Pacific and Northern Rockies. It’s a huge layout and takes up more the 5/8ths of the upstairs and is extremely detailed and over 25 engines and some Steam a few big BoBoys and Northerns . It was originally set up as steam. I even was able to score a Blue ridge (Virginian) and an Allegheny both 2666 wheel arrangement. I converted 1 into a DMI&R Yellowstone by changing the decals th
My dad had a good friend who was wallace yard master for IC and later Chicago Central in the 80s. Used to get cab rides from wallace to Mendota and a lot of interlocking tower time. ❤
What a beautiful showcasing of the CN in Iowa!! That Iowa Northern & CN Tanker with the SD75s were my personal favorites! The undulating countryside makes the railroad here that much more scenic. Awesome video! 😊
