We weren't quite done filming Canadian Pacific 2816 once it passed through our home turf back in May earlier this year. Once The Empress made its trip to Mexico City and started making its journey back, we had no doubts we will meet up with the Steam Special once again. Instead of going back the way it came from, the train traveled through Iowa on Thursday, June 27 before beginning northbound on Monday, July 1 along the Mississippi River. It was another great few days of filming CP 2816 and its train. Another character has been added to the train which was Heritage Unit Canadian Pacific SD70ACU 7013 that was added when the train arrived in Shreveport, Louisiana. Overall, it was another successful day being trackside with The Empress and its train as it heads back to Canada. We hope this won't be the last of Canadian Pacific 2816. Enjoy The Empress as it makes its journey home to Canada!
