4 July 2024 proved to be a fantastic day of railfanning for the A=Train 4014 Productions crew at Ogden Dunes and Chesterton, Indiana, Andrew! You caught a nice variety of Norfolk Southern, South Shore commuter trains and Amtrak trains through the day and into the night. Thank you for putting this video together and for uploading it for us to enjoy. (Posted 7 July 2024 at 2309 CDT.)
Great video, Andrew! I was hopin' you would film the South Shore sometime, and now I'm more than ready to see Metra Electric from you soon! As for the trains you got this day, I find it a pity that 108's 90's K5LA was replaced by a Raised Letter, but the Raised Letter K5LA it has here sounds very clean and confident like 160's.
Thank you and the crew, Andrew, for documenting the return trip of Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railroad steam engine #2816 from Moravia, Iowa to La Crescent, Minnesota on 1 July and 2 July 2024. All of you did an exceptional job of capturing the train as it passed through various locations between those two locations and combining the different location shots into this wonderful video. You and the rest of the crew produced an enjoyable video of your railfanning at the Galesburg Railroad Days celebration on 30 June 2024, Andrew! The freight trains that you caught at the Galesburg depot had a variety of freight cars in their consists. The outbound and inbound versions of the California Zephyr made their stops at Galesburg on their way to their final destinations. It was amazing to see the Santa Fe Warbonnet Dash-9 still in faded Santa Fe paint after all these years. (Posted 5 July 2024 at 0032 CDT.)
Excellent video. I plan on doing the Fall Color train in late October, hopefully y’all could do an on ride video of that excursion. Also NKP 358 looks absolutely stunning and the paint job is easily one of my favorites. Which the FWRHS needs to do a photo charter with NKP 358 on replicated freight trains
Your great video has inspired me to drive from Ohio to railfan Franklin Park. Any problems filming near the grade crossings as you did here? Any advice on where to park?
We're honored to be an inspiration! Depending on when you go to Franklin Park, we usually park east of the station since the lot by the station tends to get crowded easily. Be sure to pay for parking when you get there. Hope this helps! -Andrew Mangalindan
