@@Blackphillipsupporter I don't know about the too fast for him statement. He has done well up in Canada and can still fight anyone anywhere and when you need an enforcer that is decent with the puck like him or Reaves they seem to be doing alright.
Absolutely. Chara and Milan Lucic brought it back. I’m glad Don sweeney realizes how important it is to have grit on your team and has kept it that way for years
big bad bruins cheaps shots. always the same things. broad street bullies & big bad bruins, both concessions logiquely go to radically humain extermination, fired from the league, that's all. but the NHL is a garage league, monkee buissness & bananas republik. it's very sad for the players who really want to play hockey. it's very sad for them.

Mike what’s the highest level of hockey you played ? The only. people that think it’s soft are casuals who never played a high level and have no understanding of how tough it is. I’m not saying it wasent tougher back then, it was - but I play junior hockey in Canada right now and I can tell you there are huge hits and fights every single game and if you were out in the lineup you would be skating around with a big load of shit in your hockey pants because you’d be terrified to touch the puck
None of the guys who complain about the game being "soft" have taken a stick across the back or shoulder from someone who's actually in shape, nor have experienced the speeds people go flying into you, the last place you want to engage with sports fan is in comment sections lmao
@@jackg2630 i used to play with mcdavid way back in the day, i could say i was on his line Lol! but i remember just being too small as we got older, wasn't really strong enough, always getting smashed and the wind knocked out, couldn't really play the way you'd want to. i always respect smaller players a lot
Asa lifelong Bruins fan the Canadians games have always been rough, in the old Adams division they won more often than not, nice to see these days it is us who gets the better of the games usually. Still have to say the best game , was the 8-5 game where even the goalies fought
I was at this game, It was my first and only bruins & canadiens game. I paid like $60 at the time and sat in the last row of the nosebleed seats. What an awesome time. Drinking whiskey up there it was absolute mayhem lol. I wasnt sure if it was this game but once the buzzer sounded and chara was getting rough in the corner it confirmed it. I remember a really big group of Canadien fans getting off a bus on Causeway street chanting that soccer chant or whatever. The atmosphere was just awesome.
Makes me want to lace up some skates and mix it up. Seeing Chara stepping in for his teammates is a treat. I miss physical hockey. The league has definitely taken most of the fighting out of the game. I think it's been maybe 5 years now that the refs let them fight.
"DOWN GOES KOMISAREK LIKE A PAPER DOLL!" I wish I could have been there the initial instance in his life where that commentator, not only saw a paper doll but then saw it go down aggressively.
I remember Laraque being a Hab around this time, they could've used him out there! The Habs were outgunned that game! Hard to compete with Chara, Thornton, Lucic, Bitz, Hnidy...

Too bad, only Thornton made a feeble attempt…….once, never went near Laraque again…..same with Chara…..never dared to go after Laraque…….we won’t even talk about runaway lucie…..
@@Mario-qw2fo actually, Thornton fought Laraque something like 5 times and beat him pretty good as a Blackhawk once. I wouldn’t bet on it happening all the time, but it did happen and Thornton had the guts to step in. Laraque and chara also fought multiple times. Laraque would probably beat any member of those Bruins on a given night, but the problem is that the gabs have Laraque, and the bruins have 5 guys almost as tough as Laraque…
Montreal Canadiens vs Boston Bruins best brawl rival feud / i really love Montreal Canadiens on early 1980 and I really am huge fan of Boston Bruins on early 2000

Ryan "The Turtle" O'Byrne was a coward against Thornton. What a lightweight. He must have taken his "turtle" lessons from that other wimpy coward P.K. Subban.

Yeah, Johnny Most the Celtics announcer back in the day. He was so biased, what he was saying was completely different than what was actually going on and that man was beloved in Boston!!!!!!!

Today's wimpy NHL is the direct result of former NBA ASST. COMMISSIONER GARY BETTMAN being hired as Commissioner of the NHL. Today's fans don't get much for the OUTRAGEOUS amounts they're paying for tickets - NHL regular season has become a joke.

Oh yeah, he was such a coward in this game, literally tryinig to fight 3 guys @ once at one point though he shouldnt have come in when Thornton had that wuss Comasarak wrapped up, Joe would have made his face pudding without Lucic's help. But then again Com was such a scuzzball that night, everyone wanted to fight him.
@@juststained Yeah not a coward when he was sucker punching Lapierre or trying to RKO Komisarek. You know its bad when even the Bruins commentator starts saying a Bruins player did a cheap shot instead of saying it was a good hit or trying to make excuses for it.
@@jeanjacques9365Maybe Komisarek should know not to run a crazy person from behind? Or at least expect something after? Thats on him for being stupid and a pussy, need to pick one if you dont want shit like that happening.
Komiserek may be the biggest puzzy who ever played in the NHL. He loved to through the cheap shots, and immediately either turtled up, or took a dive if challenged in a fight.-
Why did anyone think big lanky chara was the so called tough guy when all it was that he was tall and lame. The chin is where you know those trees down for sure like we seen when he was close to retire and he went down in his knees but got up trying to act like he didn't fall cause of the hit. What a joke Lucic was and scared of George as we seen .
