[CANAM]-Episode 150 

On Friday, January 25th I received a call from the dealership that our 2013 Can Am Spyder RSS had finally arrived. According to the dealer, this is one of the first RSS's on the Western half of the US. I wanted to do a walk-around on the bike to show some of the changes from the previous models. Sorry for the background noise, it was extremely windy on the morning I did the video.
Color is Orange Metallic (Satin) and Satin Black. Custom wheels, cross-drilled rotors, Brembo brakes, Cruise Control, Push-to-activate Reverse. I have an Akropovic exhaust on order from Can Am too, just waiting for it to pass EPA standards in CA before it is released.
I sold my 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa with the intent to get 2 of the Can Am's so the wife, daughter and I could go riding like we used to back in the day. We used to go to quite a few of the GP, World Superbike races and ride through the areas where the races were.
We miss doing that so much and with a young daughter, wanted something that would be safer to do this all with. It is definitely different from a "crotch rocket" and will take a little getting used to, but the ride is phenomenal. Super comfortable, plenty of power and surprisingly, the cornering is impressive.
