If you're wondering why I haven't been on RU-vid recently, this video should answer a LOT of your questions . . . (P.S: BTS wedding footage at 12:20).
COVID-19 has affected all of us differently, and this is the story of how it affected by husband and I.
If you've had your wedding or significant plans cancelled due to COVID-19, my heart goes out to you. I wouldn't wish this scenario on anyone, but there's always a silver lining. I hope what I've learned resonates with all of you in some way!
To all the friends and family who have been there for Josh and I during this weird time, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. And to all my subscribers (and friends!) who have been so supportive, you mean the world to us!

Maryellen and Josh's wedding was the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to. It was small but intimate and absolutely lovely. So friendly and very very memorable. It worked out for the best for sure.

We also had to cancel our wedding due to COVID. Ended up holding it at a family friend's farm with only the family and closest friends. Everyone chipped in to decorate, make food and even take photos of us. Was so beautiful and grace filled and touching to see how much everyone cared. God's plan was Much better than what I had planned myself. Although I would still like a decent reception with dancing in the future. Thanks for the video!

I totally feel you... xP We had to cancel our wedding as well and decided to just go ahead with an Elopement... but still... one week prior to the Elopement there was another Lockdown in Auckland, New Zealand and it tear my heart - a whole wedding, fully planned and booked cancelled, then an Elopement fully planned and threatened to be cancelled due to COVID as well. Holy moly - but yay, we got out of lockdown after 5 days and our elopement went ahead. That was back in March and was such a rollercoaster. We both made it ^_^

Do I ever feel this post! I’m in a similar situation in Canada- attempting to get married in 2 weeks, plans changing every day (currently only essential services opened, so my flower shop and hair salon are closed, no public gatherings...) so many hours of work gone! Our restrictions are set to change the day before the wedding... we’ve essentially chosen to go ahead, set up a camera in the church and do a virtual wedding... not quite what we had envisioned, but it will still be memorable! Blessings to you- and thank you for making me feel less alone in the planning frustration!

Congratulations on your wedding day. I just wanted to mention that I don't agree with your comparison of COVID restrictions and your wedding with a diagnosis for a terminal illness. I understand you were emphasising that you were relieved with knowing the final verdict of it being cancelled, but the feeling you experience when you find out a loved one has a terminal illness is never relief. Not even close. I hope you understand where I'm coming from. God bless and hope you have a lovely week.

God knows, cares, and provides, sometimes (usually?) it is not obvious though until later. In the moment you can't see it. Thank you for sharing this part of your life.

I thought it was wholesome until she compared being diagnosed with a terminal disease to her wedding being cancelled... Like, i can tell you how different it is for days.
