Candela Obscura: BETTER THAN BLADES IN THE DARK?! | REVIEW 

First review I've seen from someone who bothered to actually play the game and understood what the game was. I am someone who has been a dnd gm for 9 years and am about to start a candela campaign because the setting is so interesting and it feels like a good intro to narrative based ttrpgs.

As usual, you are the ice cold beer of TTRPG reviews. Bubbly, refreshing and actually writing from the perspective of someone who plays the game! my metaphor broke :(

Love the style of this review! I'm a sucker for fast talking, clever writing type reviews so this is right up my alley. Haven't checked this channel in a while and I see I've been missing out. Keep up the amazing work! 10/10

To me, a lot of things about Candela make sense when you realize that the game was designed specifically for the Actual Play. Keeping that in mind, of course the setting is its biggest strength. It has to be mysterious and intriguing enough for the audience to tune in. And that's why it's a bit light on mechanics, because they probably wanted a system that would help craft a good narrative but not have too many rules to bog it down. So, if you're already familiar with BitD or Vaesen, then you don't need this book at all, unless you're a fan of the setting. But all in all, I think it does the job it was created to do well and it's fun to play, even if it is a bit rough around the edges.

So excited to finish watching this!!
