Thanks so much for making this! Super informative and useful. If you could at some point make a video on adding scents to candles and what scents are best for soy wax, that would be awesome. I’m trying to create some 100% natural candles. Soy, essential oil, maybe some coconut oil. That’s it. I know it’s probably not gonna be easy, but if you could offer some tips I would so appreciate it! Thanks :)

I want to make a hard transparent wax, so do you think it would work if I try to mix gulf wax with gel wax?

That won't work the gulf wax isn't clear so the mix won't be clear. I found one clear Pillar candle out of a palm wax. But the supplier appears to have gone out of business. (Google search images for clear pillar candle palm wax)

I personally haven't used many soy/ paraffin blends. I prefer to commit to one or the other. More natural people prefer soy, scent seekers generally prefer the scent throw of paraffin. Looking at the melt points, if you are coming from a paraffins, this will have a higher melt point so you may need to wick up to get the same melt pool in your containers. Looks like they also reco the ECO wick series for that wax. I prefer the LX just since I have had so much experience with it.

Colonial Products what is the Lx not familiar with that

It is a different series of wicks from Candle Science that are generally good for Paraffin candles www.candlescience.com/candle-wick/pretabbed-candle-wick/lx-series

Yes, for most perfumes it does. And it can hold a lot of perfume 10-12% depending on the wax. Soy is harder with perfumes. If you are interested in the full course here is a 75% off coupon candle-making.teachable.com/p/candle-making-course/?product_id=310061&coupon_code=75&preview=logged_out
